Wow 2k still didn't allow the ability to punch Rondo in the face? Disappointed....

      lol got me lol.

But this is the patch one that is supposed to help with the "serious" gameplay issues. I haven't had any of these. I just use Yellz sliders and everything is fine with me
The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.

LOL, OS has always been this way. Just take a look at the archives LOL. It's comical how cyclical it is here. It's only going to get worse in the future as expectations for future games increase. "Back in the day," we more or less took what was given to us because patches didn't exist and technology wasn't at the point it is now to implement certain things. We knew that, so we adjusted our expectations accordingly. It wasn't until the PS3/Xbox 360 era that things really started to evolve and consumer expectations began growing. That's what I allude to in my signature.

i seriously doubt there will be another gameplay patch - it's already late into the year and 2k will be turning their attention toward 2k13 at this point.

Good point BUT its pretty evident gaming companies have gotten lazy knowing they can release a patch to fix issues. But im not calling 2K lazy, you dont dethrone one of the best sports franchises ever and make them irrelevant by being lazy.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

I'm strongly suspecting a good portion of the team was working on the DLC instead of patching the game, hence the long wait and the pithy amount of fixes. It does seem really strange to be that the discussion Da_Czar started that dealt in depth with passing and hit heavily on fast break issues only resulted in a tweak to lob passes. I hope there's more than what's listed changed under the hood. Have any past fixes been left off the patch list before?
There have been minor extras here or there in previous patches, but nothing extraordinary in terms of game-changing that warranted inclusion in the patch notes. I remember with the last 2K11 patch, the devs mentioned that some of the changes wouldn't take effect until the next roster update (which came out a day later, I believe).

Are over the limit and a loose ball foul is committed you don't

i hope that's not the case, but i can see that happening...i'd rather have them devote all of their resources to the patch rather than working on some DLC that i'll never play.

I put the onus more on the publishers than I do the development teams. The publishers set the release dates and make the decision to put out their sports games annually. As a result, the devs have to deliver something by the annual deadline. Publishers have proved in some cases -- as evidenced by EA's decision to cancel NBA Elite that year -- that they are willing to flex if they feel the backlash will irreversibly hurt the brand. My feeling is that publishers just want to see a return as quick as possible, so they would rather release a game that's 80% than to release nothing at all. EA's decision not to release Elite was in large part due to its competition's product quality versus their own. Something tells me that Elite would have stayed on the shelves had it been the only game in town.
