I had one case where Philly doubled me when i tried a PNR of a set play with Deron Williams. I came around the screen and both guys doubled Deron. Ended up getting a jump ball called on that play. That instance only happened once so far in two games.

Also, this patch is a success IMO because despite not having any speed adjustment to the players, the passing speed increase somewhat gives me better chances on the break. no more instant steal when passing. Still have to be smart. Plus, driving lanes are open. The drive and kick game is in full effect. The only guys i've seen crash down when driving are non shooters and bigs coming down or a pass or rebound. This is after one and a half games.

I jumped the gun in the other thread. This patch has satisfied me.

I wasn't expecting much since I've been letdown a lot with this game every time I get my hopes up. I can honestly say it looks like I'll finally be able to shelve 2K11. This game is now like 2K11 but with better graphics, presentation, and gameplay. Everything that bothered me about this game seems to have been addressed. I'm simply blown away. The passing was the biggest issue I had and they fixed it.

On a side note, somehow Jimmer's arms are normal. Whatever was causing his arms to be dark grey has been fixed, I don't know if the patch fixed this but I'm very happy.

I hope all this easy driving to the paint doesn't carry over to online play no need to simplfy the game even more

I thought the controls were tight prepatch man I'm glad they touched on it some more. Now its much more responsive dribbling the ball....

As people mentioned shot blocking has been tweaked and it feels far more responsive...

Can someone please confirm Shot Quality grades on contested shots post-patch?

I understand people were seeing players hit every open look before, but going to the opposite extreme won't be healthy for the long-term either. Without a "Contested Shot" slider, it's up to the roster to determine who can hit contested shots.

It's a huge issue and I'm shocked it was overlooked. I'm really hesitant to begin a new Association or MP given the problem.

8 more hours for the 360 update.

I took a nap like, at 12:00 pm, woke up at 6, found out we had a patch update coming..

I can't get to sleep at all, anticipating this patch.

nah its not overdone. If it was Dirk wouldn't lit me up on those fadeaways. The game feels less cheesy and more competitively fun. Its not to the point that every contest is an automatic miss.

Guys like Dirk wouldn't be the problem. His SIT rating is like 84. The problem would be the rest of the league who are around 60-65. Before, the balance of good/bad for contested was around 65 SIT. I'm just trying to figure out what that number is now.

When time does the 360 patch hit, 10am?

Also, I read through the thread but didn't see a mention of unwanted cutting when you've got a shooter open on the perimeter. It happened pretty frequently pre-patch, a guy like JJ Reddick being open in the corner and then cutting towards the defense just as you pass.

Glad to hear the passing is quicker overall. Has the delay with icon passing been eliminated completely? I don't know how they leave that out of the patch notes...

I've only played two games since I installed the patch, one on Superstar and one on Hall of Fame and the game did play much different and better than before, but I also did notice a few cons as well. Here's my impressions:

The only cons I saw were:
                          - The 3rd quarter/ 4th quarter super-human AI is definitely still apparent on Hall of Fame, though not so much on Superstar anymore. The game I played on Hall of Fame, I played against Miami (wanted to test how good they were) and in the first half, I was down by 3 and they shot 47% from the field. By the end of the game, they finished at 56% (which amounts to a very high field goal percentage in the second half). They definitely experienced a burst in the second half, no doubt, many of which were on contested shots with the shot clock winding down. With that said, it's not NEARLY as bad as it was before the patch.
                          - The fast-break steals issue didn't seem to be fixed. I had a few 2-1 fast breaks where I would try to pass the ball and the CPU would have that predictive ability to know exactly when I was passing and swoop in for the steal.
                          - The pick-and-roll still doesn't seem to be nearly as effective as it should. As in, at all.

                          Pros:
                          - Boxing out is evident.
                          - The CPU up-and-unders have been completely alleviated.
                          - As others have said, passing has been revamped to alleviate steals on passes in the paint.
                          - CPU will miss wide-open shots on occasion, as it should be.
                          - As mentioned above, even though the 2nd half burst is still evident, they only outscored me by 9 in the second half, which wasn't nearly as bad as it used to be. I felt like I Had a chance up until the end.
                          - The runs that the CPU did go on did not feel scripted AT ALL. They actually felt better, even though the second half burst was evident.

                            No clue

Don't know if this helps but

Eric Gordan's SIT is 70 and he hit a few buckets at the end of the game close range but struggled throughout.

Caron Butler (66 SIT) scored mostly on cuts. I do remember an "and-1"

Blake Griffen (SIT 68) was a total nonfactor in the paint for me.

Chris Kaman (70) Hit a nasty postup fadeaway but thats it.

Jason Terry (64 SIT) was money all game long from MID even with a hand in his face.

I know this probably aint help at all lol but inside is really the biggest where contested shots have changed

Sounds promising. I think 2k12 would be good with one more patch to clear some more things up. But these impressions are promising

Just finished a game online. I was Orl vs. Chi. I havent seen anyone mention the lag and sluggish play online. Well im here to say that it is so much bettter now. It plays like offline now and thats exatcly what I wanted. There are more thing in this patch then what was in the patch notes.

The guy tried to go to the hoop everytime with Rose. While he wasnt completly unstoppable, which is how it should be, I was able to make the correct adjustments to win. Mainly Locking down the paint. Like some have said, passes still are a lil floaty at times but overall they are a lot better then pre-patch.

This patch will quit alot of people. I will applause 2K for this patch.

                                Havent tried offline yet.

EDIT:I forgot to mention this when talking about passes. Before the patch it seem like the ball went to who i wanted it to. In 2k11 sometime the ball would go to the person behind the player you wanted to go to or something like that. I lot of people were having that problem. Well now after the patch it seems like that is back. There have been a couple times where I meant to pass it to dwight in the paint while driving only for the ball to go to someone standing at the 3pt being covered.

                                Online

Im currently playing with the pacers and I must say they have a REALLY NICE team.
