Re: NBA 2K12 Patch 1.04 Available Now For PS3, 360 - Post Impressions Here
Nice vid chia!
That is actually what I'm talking about.
1. Howard doing cross over is just well... STOP IT! (Mike Ditka voice)
2. Nelson was open should've shot the ball. Instead he was to force his way to hoop.
3. Turk doing unnecessary pump fake.
4. Dirk clipping threw him and no foul.
5. Marion being WAY out of position and somehow blocking the shot.
What is going on with 2k12?
COME ON MAN! (Chris Carter voice)
I don't expect a perfect game from the CPU, I just expect them to play basketball not ranked mode basketball minus the steal spamming.Comment

Maybe you 360 users got hosed or something LOL. It seems like you all are getting a totally different experience than what us PS3 users are getting. I will say this, though:
A few posts back, I complained about on-ball defense (mostly mirroring), speed in the open court, and slippery ball handlers (the cpu) still being issues for me. I've alleviated those issues somewhat by putting on-ball defense, defensive awareness, quickness, and ball-handling all on zero for both me and the CPU. And I'm playing on Hall of Fame.
Putting the ball-handling on zero doesn't hurt your ability to do isomotion moves with point guards, but it should make centers dribble the ball slower. Also, the on-ball defense and defensive awareness to me represents reaction time and nothing else. I felt the reaction time was too instantaneous for my liking; zeroing those two sliders helps that out somewhat.
Certain things are hardcoded into the game, so zeroing out sliders doesn't have the same effect this year as it did in previous years. I'm still able to stay in front of ball handlers on defense, and my A.I. teammates still rotate properly.According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.Comment

Its funny yesterday, There weren't a whole lot of complaints when only ps3 users had the patch. Are you guys playing with the 2k rosters on allstar difficulty level on sim or default? I'm just curious. A lot of complaints about up and unders, dribbling, play breakdown, excessive pump fakes, can be fixed with roster editing.
The main problems i mentioned are speed of cpu recovering and association stat glitches.#1 Laker fan

Take note, i don't use the default coach settings..i use YouAlreadyKnow coach settings, so the CPU scoring in the paint stuff isn't an issue at all..Comment

What slider affects the CPU 4th quarter greatness? In my association, the 4th is always a nail biter because the computer will shoot 60% and do whatever it takes to keep the score close. It really makes the game feel scripted.Comment

Wow usually a custom slider guy, switched over to all star default to try the patch, and I was really impressed. Fast breaks are better because of the passing, contesting shots on the CPU actually effects them now, I mean you still have some minor problems but for the most part its better. I wanna jump into my first assoc in 2k12 but first I want to know if that bug is for 360 too, and does everyone have it??Comment

Yeah, definitely seeing some nice changes.
Played a game online Pacers vs. Suns. Was able to consistently get by Nash off the dribble (he was clearly playing off ball, roaming with Gortat). Passing is much improved, I could hit West and Hibbert in the post much easier.
I noticed far less bobbled receptions...hopefully that holds true through multiple games. I still had some unwanted momentum on a couple passes, but I didn't exactly throw them at the best time so that could be why.
It definitely feels like a true successor to 2k11 now. With cleaner ball movement and tighter control of your dribble, you can really appreciate the new pull up jumpers.
I also didn't experience any input delay on my post moves, which was a nagging issue pre-patch.Comment

Chia51 Since 2k has still not got the vid up... i took a vid of the vid.
farhannius<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px;">
</object>Yes, I have the patch.
Morph blocks are where the CPU 'morphs' over to get a block even though they are realistically out of position. User then gets the ball morph through there hand/arms.
Like I said, I will provide proof once the vid gets on the site.
Also, I would like to say that the first play of the game, Dwight gets the ball at the top of the key where he is the ball handler with a Hedo pick (WTF?) then they both crash into the paint, D12 handsoff to Hedo who under the rim kicks to Jameer Nelson.
Who then does a hesitation, then an in and out, where the ball goes through Dwight Howards chest/head w/o collision. The ball then goes to Hedo (whos been standing in the paint for 8 seconds w/o leaving) Hedo catches, goes up, does a contact animation w/o contacting anyone, foul is called, Shawn Marion comes flying over 'morph' (CPU) and blocks the ball at the top of the square. Hmmm....
