IDK thats just how 2K Sports role, consoles get their patch then PC comes after. Im not gonna say its because of how much it cost, I will say maybe because the vast majority are on consoles then they feel they have to take care of them first and as quickly as possible even if that means delaying the PC patch. Not that I agree with it though.

XBOX360 is managed by Windows as it is PC. So no excuses there also. I'll ask Ronnie2K. But I know I won't get an answer.

But the XBox at least has a fixed set of hardware and software belonging to its operating system.
On a PC there can be all kinds of combinations of hardware and drivers in various versions which makes testing harder and more time consuming I would guess. Add to that an under-staffed PC-department and you get long wait times.

The game itself gets ported to the PC. And it's released the same time as PS3/X360. All they have to do is test them on every graphics card and on every motherboard(I mean not every, but the most used). But yeah, I guess it's because of lack of employees on PC section.

I could care less. I like the fact that the pc version only gets one patch, instead of three patches that make you adjust your game or start a new mode every time.

Anyways, there are international versions and digital download versions as well as retail dvd copies. Each version has similar content that works in a different way, so they need to make sure it works on all platforms and versions. That, plus they don't think about pc patches until they are completely done updating the consoles because it takes a bit longer to patch the pc and it's more convenient to do it all at once when it isn't a AAA title like skyrim. It just makes business sense.

Well, FIFA(EA) and PES(KONAMI) are releasing patches at the same time or somethimes even earlier(day or two) than on consoles.

The market favors consoles, in general the PC has been the after thought of gaming platforms. If anyone released their stuff nowadays to just the PC, it be vastly better then anything a console can create. Just look at all the games released for consoles vs how many make it to the PC. And how many times you see something exclusive to the PC, the ratio is in the consoles favor by a huge margin.

I switched from the console to PC last year and never looked back, and never will. Sucks that the PC patch comes late, but hey I can live with that. The replay value is much better on PC.

I'm going to buy ps3 next year, but only because x360 online you have to pay and I found PS3 for only 200€/280-290 bucks. Going to have it only for 2K games(online) and FIFA(online also).

Pretty sure its been mentioned but if you buy pc version of nba 2k for developer support, you bought it for the wrong reason. You buy NBA 2k on PC for the modding community. Did you think something was going to change this year. The ps3 version looks better but still bad compared to the 360 version.

this game is crap without modding and it is crap without the patches right now!
so either way you put it the game sucks at the moment, the sad thing is that 2k is just wasting the potential to have a (in every aspect) great game.

btw can somebody make this a sticky thread? i dontknow if its too much to ask for, but for me it feels like that 2k needs to get aware of that users wont accept that kind of behaviour any longer. hope the nba2k pc community will speak up here!
