This game is what it is. It frustrates the crap out of me but I still play it every day. My 2K rank is only a 5 because every game I shut off. I don't mind losing but when the CPU can throw perfect bouce and lob passes and my passes aren't crisp it makes me want to throw the controller!

Also this games seems to be lacking in ball movement (CPU wise) I have yet to see the CPU "swing" the ball around once for a 3 etc. Also I can't "Swing" the ball around for 3's etc at all because for some reason my guys stand RIGHT inside the 3 point line (POINTLESS) OR they catch it outside the 3 line and magically decide to move up in front of it etc. Just a lot of little things that could make the game amazing... It's a 6 for me at the moment. It'd be a 7 but I have to account for the HORRID rosters etc. that we have to get ourselves or do ourselves!

I'm not bashing 2k sports, but come on people. Where would we be if we just settled. We the consumers must demand the highest quality in the items we purchase. No double teams, pathetic passing game, delayed controller response (mostly online), and just buggy gameplay. These issues can't be exused. I can barely run a pick and roll play on this game, a pick and roll play! Pick and rolls go with basketball like socks on feet. I think 2k went to complex this time around. The only way to express our dissatisfaction is not to purchase 2k13 on midnight release. I will either get it from gamefly or redbox, but I will not be paying 65 bucks for an unfinished product.

Not having double teams is not real basketball. People saying 2k messed up with double teams are wrong. ITS ABSOLUTELY UNFORGIVABLE. It surpasses wrong. Its utterly ridiculous you can make a nba basketball game with no double teams and get away with it. 2k should have a obligation to fix this huge bug.

We ask for a lot of things to get patched but this is a must. 2k should be saying to themselves that they need to fix double teams. Beluba maybe working on 2k13 right now but we have a huge problem with 2k12. This is our only basketball option till October. That's 9 months of playing a basketball game with no double teams. How bad will it be if Beluba took a couple weeks off to work on double teams.

They left us with big men shooting 3s in 2k10 and this will be another huge slap in the face if they don't fix this. Will double teams be a promoted feature in 2k13? Will the back of the box say now featuring double teams? Its ridiculous. Double teams are a must just like fast breaks are a must. Fundamentals are a must in basketball. Its not a option 2k. A basketball game with no double teams?

Ive been a huge 2K supporter, an extremely active poster over on their official forum. This game is a huge disappointment, the AI is horrid. Passing is broken, speed is broken. The cpu cheats, the unrealistic momentum swings that just completely favors 1 team where they hit 3 pointers with 3 guys in their face while the opposite team misses wide open layups are killers. Then to top it off we have received little to no support for this game. Nobody will respond to our questions on twitter. Legends showcase flopped. Its a playable game but it should be much more than that as 2K11 was probably the greatest sports title ever. To regress this much is mind boggling. I play 2K12 for a couple days then I have to take a break for weeks and erase the terrible AI from my mind. This is my favorite video game series, if I could only get 1 game every year this is the game. Right now im not enjoying my favorite game. Its obvious we are not getting another patch. 2K sports are about to go full steam marketing MLB 2K12 while the basketball team works on NBA 2K13.

I was watching that game as I do every Magic game. Orlando was also doubling Melo everytime he touched the ball.

But the thing is nobody here is saying that this is a non issue at all. Some feel they can overlook it, some feel that the issue is over-exaggerated, and some feel that the complaint has been heard and there is no need to cry blood about it

I don't think there will be another patch and honestly I would prefer they focus hard on 2K13. Third patch made this game very playable for me.

While no double teaming is a major issue, I reckon that the fact that player speed has no effect, is a bigger one. How is it possible that something as simple as player speed is missing in a sports game? There is no reason why a player moving backwards should be able to keep up with an opposing player moving a "full speed".

IMO, 2k needs to fix the fundamental problems before focusing and adding redundant game modes eg. having My Player and Create a Legend.

It also seems as though the 2k team works on the final product of the previous iteration rather than the patched version, as there are previously fixed issues, such as removing the replay ring, still present in the later versions.

My last post on this as we've all said all we can (and more!).....

I've enjoyed everyone's posts BTW...this is a forum, different views make it what it is...

I put in NBA 2K11 for half an hour late last night and played as Orlando v Golden State. I got off to a hot start with Dwight and then the doubles came. They doubled me almost every time in the post. I had to kick out and spin the ball around the perimter...then try re posting up again or taking the 3 ball when open..perfect Orlando Magic basketball.

These things were all in NBA 2K11 and they were done exceptionally well. So, Beluba and the 2K guys know how to do it and it's there in their engine. I don't think it would take a lot to recode it back in via a patch for 2K12, but it seems like that won't happen at this point.

I love the whole post game / wait for the double / kick out style of basketball...so i think i'll grab all the latest mods for 2K11 PC (updated courts, graphics, rosters, rookies etc) and use the PC version when i want to play a post style game / use NBA 2K12 when i play friends or use teams like the Suns, Cavs etc who don't have a post game anyway. Not ideal, but 2K11 is such a great game that it hasn't aged at all. It's a pity all the new presentation elements etc which 2K12 does brilliantly wasn't mixed with 2K11's better fundamentals. Seems like nothing we can do about it at this point though.

Anderson scored a career-high 30 points, extending his NBA lead with seven 3-pointers, and the Orlando Magic beat the New York Knicks 102-93 on Monday to complete a perfect four-game road trip.
Taking advantage of extra space as the Knicks focused on Howard, Anderson went 7 of 13 behind the arc and is now 40 of 93 for the season. He missed all three 3-point attempts in the first quarter, but finished with the NBA single-game high this season despite having a cold.
“Early in the game Ryan was missing, but he stuck with it and he played big for us tonight,” Howard said.
