Many people who controls 30 teams in Association complained that in offseason you can't sign players for every team because when you make an offer you have to simulate a day. Is 2k solve this problem with the patch or is the way to avoid this problem?

I just sim past the FA period and go sign guys after that from the Free Agents menu. It's a lot easier and gives you time to think bout where players would realistically go.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
yeah i had planned to amnesty Brand and I def agree I don't think Lou will accept the player option....I like the Hawes idea that lets them move Horford to the 4 where he's probably more natural at...I was also thinking about putting thad young in the deal somewhere he's been good off the bench for me but I think Atlanta would like a decent return on Smith
do you think there's any way to leave iggy and joe johnson out of it I really don't wanna take on JJs massive contract although I guess it would give me a 20 ppg guy which I'd be giving up in lou
You could give them Young who's kind of like a poor man's version of Smith and then maybe throw in Hawes or Lou (could replace Jamal Crawford for them) or even throw in Turner and ATL could play JJ at the 3 and Turner at the 2. Lot of possibilities. Question you have to ask yourself though as Philly is if the trade makes sense. You'll have A LOT of cap room after amnestying Brand and Lou maybe walking away along with Hawes. Maybe go for a dominant down low guy, I think that's something Philly def needs. Then again, maybe you'll still have enough $ even after you get Smith. Maybe get Smith, and then make a move for a Chris Kaman or Al Jefferson.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
How does this look?
76ers trade: Iggy, Hawes
Hawks trade: Josh Smith, ( Kirk Hinrich huge expireing or Zaza Pachulia ) Lotto Protected first
76ers could play Thad Young at the 3 Smith at the 4. While the Hawks get Iggy at the 3 a legit 5 and then put Horford at the 4. Atlanta is the 4 seed while the 76ers are fighting for the 8th seed.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Since we are talking so heavily about moving Josh Smith and blowing up Atlanta I just it was interesting to note what is going on in my assocation. The first year Atlanta got the 4 seed and had a solid season but going into the playoffs both Smith and Johnson were out, so they had no chance and lost in the first round to Orlando 4-1. So based on that I didn't blow up the team. They brought back Jamal Crawford on a max MLE (He turned down his 5M player option but I couldn't find a good fit for him anywhere else so he only got a slight raise), let Hinrich go, and drafted Mouphtaou Yarou, Robbie Hummel (who's been a pleasant surprise in 15 mpg) and Joffrey Lauvergne. Despite dealing with injuries to Crawford (out 6-8 weeks), Smith (out 1-2 weeks) and Marvin Williams (hurt, down 8 OVL) they keep winning and are an amazing 18-5, leading the east behind Al Horford who's averaging 20.9 and shooting .552. So I guess I made the right decision to give them one more shot, although when push comes to shove and Wade is back from injury I find it hard to believe the Hawks will get past the Heat, or even the Bulls for that matter.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
So I decided to start a new 30 team association in NBA 2k11. Because its NBA 2k11 I choose to start with the most updated rosters from the 2010-2011 season instead of the current season rosters. I simmed the first season making sure that the correct teams made the playoffs, the correct teams made it to the conference finals, and that Dallas won the championship. I also made sure the five worst teams were correct as well. I'm currently going through the offseason process, using online sources to make the correct resigning and draft the correct players. I'm gonna be taking over the Orlando Magic and I was originally just going to trade Howard and start a complete rebuilding process in Orlando, but I am starting to rethink that idea and maybe try to find away to compete and convince Howard to stay. I thought of a trade Idea and wanted to know what everyone thought. So here it is:
Magic receive:
Monta Ellis(from Warriors)
Steve Nash (from Suns)
Warriors receive:
Marcin Gortat (Suns)
1st round pick (Magic)
Jason Richardson (Magic)
Suns receive:
Future 2nd round pick (Magic)
Jameer Nelson (Magic)
Hedo Turkoglu or Justin Harper (Magic)
Also financially I have no idea if this would work, this was just off my head.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
I thought that too, what if I had the Warriors send a 2nd round pick to the Suns and maybe instead of sending Jameer Nelson, I send a young guard. That would give the Suns 2 2nd round picks to rebuild with, Turkoglu, and a young guard to develop. I could also send Justin Harper whos a young power forward that could be a good player if developed.Comment

MAGIC TRADE: Jameer Nelson, Jason Richardson, 1st rd pick
SUNS TRADE: Steve Nash
MAGIC TRADE: Ryan Anderson, Jason Richardson, Q. Richardson, 1st rd pick
WARRIORS TRADE: Monte Ellis, Jeremy Tyler
That's really all I could come up with for both teams...neither look particularly appealing for the Suns/Warriors...lol who knows.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
1st trade looks fine. I've seen it rumored a lot. Dunno bout adding Buddinger though. The second trade, I don't think the Wolves are going to want to take Walton's contract back. I'm not sure but I think the Lakers have some sort of trade exception left so the salaries don't have to match up. (real life) so to mimic that in the game I just switch salaries around so you wouldn't have to add in Walton.Comment
