Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
After losing out on the Lebron sweepstakes, there's no way the Knicks will give up on Melo. They gave up so much to get him. Their actually a worse team now with him IRL. To keep the game realistic, i say keep him. Or at least wait a couple years to trade him.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
as a rockets fan i find it really hard to see them trading martin scola and lowry for gasol he is a star but not a superstar everybody is set on the idea that hou really wants gasol because of the paul trade but the trade was to free up cap for nene also gm morey has made it sound like lowry is almost untouchable and that the plan is to trade the young assets we have (flynn, williams, lee, patterson, multipule 1st) for a superstar or let them walk in offseason for cap space to sign one in fa which is what started today by not picking up there options
sorry for the long postAll Hail The K1NG!

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
What's point of getting Deron if your PF is going to suck though? The reason I put that much into the trade is because in all likelihood, the Nets and Knicks wouldn't do a trade together because they hate each other. Also, the Knicks would have to severely overpay to get Deron as they have no leverageComment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Ya, I don't think the Bulls would trade Deng as he's the key to their defense. They said he's going to play with the pain in his wrist anyways. It's in his non-shooting hand so it might not affecting his shooting too much. As for Pierce, the best place seems to be a fringe-contender rather than contending team. One interesting deal would be if the Nets got involved. Getting Pierce would give Howard more incentive to sign there and that could be a solid team. Maybe doing something like Lopez, Okur, and Petro for Pierce
I had the same idea about moving Pierce to the Nets. Here's what I came up with on the ESPN trade machine.
I like throwing Morrow in there as he could be a potential replacement for Allen in the 3pt department if Boston kept him after his contract was up. Morrow and Farmar are on 2 year deals so the Celtics wouldn't be stuck with them for too long. Unless they wanted to be."You come at the King, you best not miss..."Comment

Ya I don't see the Bulls moving Deng either, it was just what they said on the Podcast, so I threw it out there.

Sorry, but this is not a realistic deal at all. No one is going to give up young talent for an old Pierce!!!Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
This trade is totally unrealistic! Why would the Nets give up Brook Lopez, who they consider a valuable trade chip or to develop into a centerpiece to their team for an old Paul Pierce whose contract ties up a lot of money for the next two years?????

Sounds like a good move to me. Personally I'll be keeping guys who don't play in the league(or play somewhere else) off any nba roster but I think it's cool to see others use them. Don't forget to edit his tendencies though! And that goes for any FA...mainly their "touches" tendency needs to be lowered.Comment

So who's everyone rolling with/rooting for so far with these 30 team seasons??
I've got my Bobcats in prime position for a top 3 pick at 9-31 lol. Come on Anthony Davis!!Comment

Warriors! 6-7 start so far...Ellis is a beast for me! Hoping to make playoffs this season at least. Good luck with your Bobcats, that would be tough lol. Have you played all 40gms?Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
I'm curious, how does everyone play their association games? I play one full week on the calendar and then sim two full weeks. I counted it up and will play about 30gms or so I believe. Plenty to make me feel like I had a say-so in my team's success or non-success for the regular season. I'd like to play multiple seasons, ultimate goal is to continue playing through next year with good draft classes.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
I mean go ahead make an Isiah Thomas deal and rob the Nets if you wish. It's your game. I thought the point of this thread was to make realistic transactions using 30 team control. If you are going to make a deal like that then why bother with 30 team control???
If anything the Celtics would have to add first round picks to make this trade fair. Jus' sayin'!Last edited by ashantewarrier; 01-27-2012, 06:15 PM.Comment
