Maybe... But I was right ! They lost their first post-trade game but after they won 4 in a row and are now 9th in the East ( they were 13th before the trade ). George has replaced Granger very easily.
What I expected seems to be happening, they lost their cap space but they will probably save their season and reach the playoffs. And with the pick they got in the trade, their future isn't compromised at all.

But Pistons are still losing... and still last team in the East. But they have cap space and picks so It's probably gonna be allright for them.

Pistons trade a young prospect in Daye for Mo Williams? Only guy Pistons trade is Prince to get rid of his contract
They got rid of Gordon and Villanueva's contract which where big... As I saif, they were over the cap, now they are under, and they have some picks for 2012.

About the Pacers, read my previous post.

Bed, what website do you use for finding up-to-date contracts. I can't find any of the new contract extension details of the players who just received them; I can just find the overall total.

I don't know if this has been answered, but what happens ff you go over your budget in your online association fantasy draft?

You can only amnesty a player that had his contract made before the new CBA and has not been traded that same season I believe. Teams can only use amnesty once so teams like New York and Detroit can't use it again. Just edit the player's salary to $0 and waive him.

I wouldn't waive him cuz irl the team still pays the player's salary for that given year. Like for example, the Magic are paying Arenas this season. All I do is put Year 2 salary to zero, which makes the years after zero.

Well I zeroed World Peace's 2nd year and waived him and the lakers cap room was the same as it was before I waived him. I guess it worked then....

If you mean how do you keep a guy from taking the option when he would really not, you can just go in and edit it to no option in the player edit salary section.

If mean how do you handle it in the off-season menu, I don't know I haven't done an offseason yet.

                            Realistic Replacements??

In my 30-team assoc., I had a couple of key guys for good teams go down with season ending injuries, and it's only mid-December. I was just wondering if both of these 'replacement signings' made sense. BTW, I signed them using the MLE for both teams.

                            Memphis Grizzlies:
                            OJ Mayo-Torn MCL-Out for Season
Grizzles sign Gilbert Arenas to 1yr/3.25M deal

I figured that the Grizzlies may take a chance on him, simply because they already know how to deal with volatile players, such as OJ Mayo whom he is replacing. I don't plan on having him resign with them, but just play out the season to try and keep them in playoff contention.
BTW, I have Tony Allen starting and him coming of the bench about 25mins a game.

                            LA Clippers:
                            Caron Butler-Torn MCL-Out for Season
Clippers sign Chris Douglas-Roberts to 1yr/2.17M deal

CDR seems to fit in well with the Clippers system, and he is a major upgrade over the other SF's on the roster (Ryan Gomes [62], Travis Leslie [61]). CDR is starting, playing about 32min/game and Gomes off the bench for 18min/game.

                            Realistic?

Signing Arenas is a good fit since Mayo is hurt and the Grizz don't have another reliable option at guard besides Allen and Conley.

Signing CDR, however, is a good fit, but unrealistic b/c he signed a 2 year contract in Italy with no opt out this year and therefore the earliest he could sign with an NBA team irl would be this summer.

Aha... I did not know that, thank you. I will add him to my list of "Overseas Players". I don't think Kirilenko is a good fit for the Clippers.... looking at the other SF's in the Free Agent Pool...Joey Graham (69), Jamario Moon (66) and Al Thornton (64). Who do you think is the best fit for the Clippers??
