Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
#1 I guess I have issues with Bynum because his of injury history, he gets hurt ATL traded Smith and ZaZa for nothing
#2 It only has 1 st rounder going to the Kings, 2 two may balance it out, but it just strikes me taking away the Kings only low post threat and giving more of what they already have
#3 If Boston struggles I have no issue with this one, I have read a few places that Ainge does not want to rebuild around only Rondo.
#4 If you did this I would look to move Felton in a separate deal, I don't think he'd react to well to being benched as Nash would get most of the minutes, it also leaves Portland thin at SF since Luke Babbitt is pretty worthless IMO
#5 If it's an in-season move there aren't really any FA bigs I'd be comfortable with if Bynum got hurt, if Gasol doesn't move to Center for Phoenix it also creates a log jam at PF with him, Morris, and Warrick plus Lopez and Gortat at center, maybe send Lopez if the $ will work out.
Steve Nash, Josh Howard, Childress to the Trailblazers
Devin Harris, Greg Oden, Greald Wallace to the Suns
Grant Hill and Raymond Felton to the Jazz
(could also put in some first rounders but don't know where)

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Would the Pacers trade Hibbert for Okafor in a deal? I found it odd that Indiana didn't extend him when they had the chance. I know he made he all-star game IRL, but it seems like Indiana doesn't see him as the long term answer at center, or course they probably don't Okafor as being any better either."You come at the King, you best not miss..."Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
I ended up restarting my 3-team franchise with the Grizz again and simmed all the way to the playoffs. Beat Dallas in 6 games and matched up against OKC in the 2nd round.
Ended up winning Game 1, but lost the next 3 (2 were blowouts, 1 was by 5 points). Then, ended up winning the next 2! Rudy really put the team on his back on those last 2 games averaging 26ppg and 7rpg. ZBO and Marc was beasting as well.
Anyways, Game 7 was probably the best game I've ever played in 2k12. It was @OKC. There were 18 lead changes, OKC has the biggest lead at 8 and I a 5 point lead heading into the 4th. OKC stormed back and went up 3 with about 17 seconds left. I went for the quick 2 with a Conley/Marc pick n roll and scored. Fouled and Westbrook made both FT's with 8 seconds. Rudy took over after that. Passed him in the ball, went around a screen and drilled a 3 at the top of the key with about 3 ticks left. Westbrook missed the final shot.
1st overtime - Neither team scored til about the 3:30 mark. It was tight for the most part and Grizz were down 2 with 11 seconds. Rudy hit another clutch basket over KD to tie it up and it was a little over 1 second left. Stopped OKC again for a 2nd over time!
2nd overtime - Similar situation but was down 3 again with 12 seconds left. Rudy ran around screen, Marc got him some space from Durant and Rudy hit ANOTHER 3 to tie the game with about 6 seconds left. I felt like I gave OKC too much time and it hurt me in the end. Westbrook got the ball in an iso situation, did his little up and under move and nailed a jumper off the backboard to end the game. Smh
I was so disappointed man lol. Great, great game overall though.PSN: bhzmafia14Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
does anyone know how the lakers trade exception works? i heard it was a first rounder (i think top-20 protected, 2018 unprotected) and mavs get to choose when to give the lakers the first rounder

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
The Lakers pick from the Mavs is top-20 from 2012-2017 and then unprotected in 2018. The trade exception is entirely different thing though. Since the Mavs just took on Odom's salary, then the Lakers will given a trade exception of Odom's salary for one whole year. Then can then use that expection to take on another player. So for example, they could trade for someone like Jameer Nelson just by using that exception without having to give back any playersComment

that brings foward another question, let's say a team owes another a protected pick, can they trade that pick or no?

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
thanks for all the thoughts, i'm leaning towards doing trade 1 and 2. i meant to put two picks, not one. with 1 done, there can't be 3 or 5, but what you think about this trade for 4?
Steve Nash, Josh Howard, Childress to the Trailblazers
Devin Harris, Greg Oden, Greald Wallace to the Suns
Grant Hill and Raymond Felton to the Jazz

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Couple more Granger for Gordon possibilites, maybe.........
#1
Hornets get:
Granger
Hibbert
2012 lottery protected 1st rounder
Pacers get:
E. Gordon
E. Okafor
The Pacers could have extended Hibbert IRL, but they chose not too, that leads to think they may be willing to part with him, even if he made the all-star team IRL. The first rounder may see like too much but since NBA owns the Hornets I feel like I have to sweeten the deal so the other owners don't flip over me trading the best player they got in the CP3 deal. Since Gordon won't resign in New Orleans they can justify trading him as apposed to letting him walk for nothing.
#2
Hornets get:
Granger
G. Hill
L. Stephenson
Pacers get:
Gordon
Jack
Belinelli
no good reason really just had to find contracts to make it work, feel free to suggest any tweeks to these.
Also I'm gonna run use a random number generator to determine the fate of Dwight Howard(at this time anyway) how do these percentages sound.
50% Orlando keeps him and hopes he doesn't walk after the season(he'll definently walk)
35% traded to the Nets, I'm holdong off on the details until I figure out if he's going there or not so I can't give the trade specifics yet, but you proably have good idea of how it will look
15% traded to the Bulls, I gave them a lesser % than Jersey because even though I think could offer Orlando a better package I heard a report today on ESPN radio that this is the least likely destination as Dwight doesn't want to play second banana to D. Rose.
(On a side note, Dwight is great don't get me wrong, but for being the best center in a league that really only has 1-2 other true centers who are worth anything, he hasn't done jack. 1 Finals appearance, big deal. He doesn't want to be 2nd banana to Kobe(reportedly) he doesn't want to be second banana to D. Rose, dude needs a serious ego check, and to stop worrying about being a movie star. How about you develop more than one post move Dwight. Sorry for the rant)
A lot of ideas from yesterday went out the window due to injuries.Last edited by qpc123; 02-12-2012, 06:19 PM."You come at the King, you best not miss..."Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
WOWWW!! Just got done doing a whole list on injuries for every team and signing new guys to fill in the spots etc./readjusting rotations and of COURSE it freezes on the Warriors. So 45 minutes of tedious/no fun work down the drain.... thanks 2k!!!Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Ummm so yeah, this has been mentioned before in the glitches thread and in the patch update thread...unfortunately, I just really started paying attention to it today.
There's a HUGE problem in association mode.
Any player that comes out of the draft after year 1 (IE every player we get into the league via a user created draft class) has ALL COLD ZONES for his hot spots.
Year 1 and 2...it's not a huge deal. For me, I drafted Anthony Davis and didn't really notice because I didn't expect much on offense. But by year 4, it starts really affecting the association. As more created players enter the league, the more you start to notice it. If you're playing with a created player on your team, you won't be able to hit more than 30% of your shots in game unless you're driving to the rim every possession. What's worse, if you play teams trying to rebuild with young talent, you'll notice they no longer pose much of a threat to you because they can't hit any of their frickin shots!!
This is a BIG DEAL. Apparently, this glitch was around last year, and 2K has even addressed it as fixed in the recent patch...no such luck. To see for yourself, go into freestyle practice in year 2 or beyond, take a player you drafted from a draft class, hit select to see his hot spots...and they will all be blue. Then shoot about 30 wide open shots from his highest attribute and watch how many of them rattle out.
Does ANY ONE know of a work around to this? Or are we supposed to just not play past year 2?Comment
