A lot of you guys who dont think this game is realistic make valid points and i will be the first to say that there are PLENTY of WTF moments that the CPU pulls off regularly on the higher levels but honestly that happens because this is a video game first & foremost.. but think on this, already twice this season the bucks have beaten the heat, an for some reason the knicks cant beat the cavaliers, so just cause your playing with a better team doesnt mean your always gonna win... i know people will disagree with me but this is still the best sports game ive ever played and ive been playing games since the atari an nintendo days lol

Good points...but you're missing the point. Its the Validation for the CPUs bs. Ex. Yours right, any team can be beaten in the NBA. But 10x in a row worst team beating the best by 15-20pts?! And you're doin everything in you power to stop ben from making these ridiculous runs every game?? No, I don't care what anyone in this forum says, the CPU cheat to win. Yes it's a video game, that's suppose to simulate NBA ball...2k12 failed to do this in mine and many others opinions. If 2k11 or even NBA live 2000 PC did such a great job with this then here's no reason for 2k12 to play this way without some sort of explanation for the creators so we'd have a better understanding. People like da czar shouldn't (although appreciated) have to do tutorials for these companies....
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

Detection issues aside, there are allowances made to make the CPU "challenging." They are bogus. Again, mostly on the higher difficulties.

BTW - that shot attempt is common no matter the PG, no matter the defense, no matter the settings. The CPU runs its offense no matter what the user is doing. But they are NBA players so I digress...
Hey! Not everyone here has beaten the game yet!

I welcome a challenge but what the CPU does in 2k12 is beyond a challenge. They simply do things that is impossible for your team to do. If my CPU team mates played the same way that my cpu opponent does then I wouldn't have an issue. I'm definitely able to win games in 2k12 but the bs that the CPU does makes it not very fun unless your playing another human. I'm happy for those who have fun with the "challenge" of the cpu but 2k11 did it better and it felt more like real ball to me.

For ex: I just had the my CPU controlled defender leave his man (a deadly shooter I had him assigned to deny off ball) to go double team....on the other side of the court!!! This is probably the biggest gameplay flaw of 2k12...this is what he CPU does to take advantage. You give a specific assignment to your teammates and it controls them to allow itself to score...

That's a good example. You simply can't control every man on the floor at the same time. The players you don't control end up doing their own thing which is exactly the opposite of what they should be doing. Also its crazy when you have a rebounder like Howard or Love right under the basket on a missed shot and instead of rebounding like they should they stand there and watch a guard jump over them for the rebound.

And ENOUGH with the whole "it's only a video game" saying. Yours right, and it's suppose to be fun. This game is not fun. It's not suppose to be like a flight simulator training for the u.s. air force!...

It's pretty fun for me. I did find something quite disturbing though. Whie playing a game in my dynasty, LeBron was able to make a game winning three.'

also, if you feel the cpu is cheating, lower the dang difficulty. There's options for a reason guys.

Let it go man, just let the people who have fun with it enjoy it. Its obvious that they don't see what we are talking about or really care too much. It was interesting though to see other people's opinion.

Now his makes since...you're playing in the PC version with mod patches. Totally different game from console version so your views aren valid. Come back when you've played the 360 version...

Its not so much a problem with difficulty level. It doesn't matter if its pro, all star or custom sliders. These things still happen. But its great that you have fun with it.

The one thing that I do notice is that most people who love this years game still say that they thought last year had better gameplay.

Not me. I think 2K12 by far has better overall gameplay than 2K11. 2K11 had all that unrealistic bumping keeping players out of the lane. And psychic defenders who would tip every pass you made. 2K11 was still good but 2K12 is better.

I've started setting my plays to Auto selection, and I find my offense runs better. It removes the 3-4 seconds it takes for me to call a play, and it keeps me from getting emotional with my offense. Also there are some end of game plays that get called that so far I have not seen in any playbook. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing....
