A lot of you guys who dont think this game is realistic make valid points and i will be the first to say that there are PLENTY of WTF moments that the CPU pulls off regularly on the higher levels but honestly that happens because this is a video game first & foremost.. but think on this, already twice this season the bucks have beaten the heat, an for some reason the knicks cant beat the cavaliers, so just cause your playing with a better team doesnt mean your always gonna win... i know people will disagree with me but this is still the best sports game ive ever played and ive been playing games since the atari an nintendo days lol

I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...Comment

Re: 50 Ways to Beat the CPU or Become a Better 2K Player Overall, by Sovartus
....more along the lines of what I already knew.
THIS is what people expect from the CPU:
THIS is what they get:
Detection issues aside, there are allowances made to make the CPU "challenging." They are bogus. Again, mostly on the higher difficulties.
BTW - that shot attempt is common no matter the PG, no matter the defense, no matter the settings. The CPU runs its offense no matter what the user is doing. But they are NBA players so I digress...

Re: 50 Ways to Beat the CPU or Become a Better 2K Player Overall, by Sovartus
I welcome a challenge but what the CPU does in 2k12 is beyond a challenge. They simply do things that is impossible for your team to do. If my CPU team mates played the same way that my cpu opponent does then I wouldn't have an issue. I'm definitely able to win games in 2k12 but the bs that the CPU does makes it not very fun unless your playing another human. I'm happy for those who have fun with the "challenge" of the cpu but 2k11 did it better and it felt more like real ball to me.Comment

For ex: I just had the my CPU controlled defender leave his man (a deadly shooter I had him assigned to deny off ball) to go double team....on the other side of the court!!! This is probably the biggest gameplay flaw of 2k12...this is what he CPU does to take advantage. You give a specific assignment to your teammates and it controls them to allow itself to score...I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...Comment

And ENOUGH with the whole "it's only a video game" saying. Yours right, and it's suppose to be fun. This game is not fun. It's not suppose to be like a flight simulator training for the u.s. air force!...I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...Comment

It's pretty fun for me. I did find something quite disturbing though. Whie playing a game in my dynasty, LeBron was able to make a game winning three.'
also, if you feel the cpu is cheating, lower the dang difficulty. There's options for a reason guys.Last edited by Kid FSU; 02-03-2012, 08:15 PM.Comment

Let it go man, just let the people who have fun with it enjoy it. Its obvious that they don't see what we are talking about or really care too much. It was interesting though to see other people's opinion.Comment

The one thing that I do notice is that most people who love this years game still say that they thought last year had better gameplay.Comment

Not me. I think 2K12 by far has better overall gameplay than 2K11. 2K11 had all that unrealistic bumping keeping players out of the lane. And psychic defenders who would tip every pass you made. 2K11 was still good but 2K12 is better.Comment

Re: 50 Ways to Beat the CPU or Become a Better 2K Player Overall, by Sovartus
I've started setting my plays to Auto selection, and I find my offense runs better. It removes the 3-4 seconds it takes for me to call a play, and it keeps me from getting emotional with my offense. Also there are some end of game plays that get called that so far I have not seen in any playbook. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing....Comment
