I second calling plays. Your offense runs the way it's supposed to. Also it makes use of your coach.

Last years game played better. But the gameplay isn't as good as 2k12. Does that make sense?

I tried playing 2k11 a month ago. The playcalling system isn't as good as 2k12. Again, they are better executed, but they are very predictable. 2k12 is tantalizing because you get glimmers of what could be if 2k spent more time testing and fixing the kinks. All in all I enjoy it but the CPU is just unbeatable at times (especially if your team hits a streak above 5 wins or so).

Despite my complaints, I feel fairly optimistic about 2K13. The response to 2K12's AI has been so negative that I'd bet they're working on it as we speak. No, we won't get a patch, but we might just get a pleasant surprise when we start playing 2K13.

I'm trying my absolute hardest to enjoy 2K12, I really am, but the AI is killing me. It doesn't matter if I win or lose, I nearly always come out feeling unsatisfied. All the up and unders, the ridiculous spin gathers, the lack of double teaming (I just scored 48 with Kobe and he wasn't double teamed once. Likewise, I was never able to double team Beasley, even though I set double teams to "always" in the defensive settings), the dumb passing and the predictable offense by the CPU are keeping me from enjoying the game.

If the next version of the Sim-World rosters don't save the game for me, I'll go back to 2K11 until 2K13 is released. It's truly a shame, because 2K12 does plenty of things better than 2K11, but I'm finding it really hard to put up with this weird gameplay.
