how much does the coaching shooting slider effect things, slim? how different is 0 from 50 for example, or if it's at 0 will capable players still take the open/makeable shots with regularity?

edit: also, should you try to combine all 4 types of shots for a total of 100 or does it not really matter do you think?

The "Tendencies adding up to 100" theory is completely false this year. All tendencies are probabilities and essentially tell the AI how "quickly" to take a shot/make a move, etc., whatever the tendency calls for.

The difference between 0 and 50 is VERY noticable in-game as the Coaching Profile Shot Tendencies act as modifiers for those tendencies for the players on that team. I'm sure they work as percentage boosts, or in gameplay, the higher the tendency the more quickly the AI will make execute that tendency. Just going off of what I've seen in roughly 50 CPU vs. CPU games, it's a difference of about 10-15 shots per game from that area on the court. Most teams have a 0 in one of those tendencies and I haven't seen any gameplay that made me want to change them, and I am ALWAYS trying something different to see how it will work.

For instance, I just sent nikki a new roster file that has a different scale for the Close Shot Rating that helps compensate for the Inside Shot Rating scale being completely wrong in the sim-engine. I've been editing this game solid since it was released and just saw a season simulation where Dwight Howard shot 57% (57%!) from the field and averaged 20 points and 14.7 boards per game.

That being said, I am not touching the coaching profiles shot tendencies. If you guys want to, go ahead, but I'm certain that when you watch the games that are streamed they won't be as good as they could be. The coaching profile shot tendencies, the player shot tendencies, and ratings that directly affect the sim-engine (all shot ratings, assist, steal, off/def reb, etc.) are as close to realistic as the game will allow.

I will post some stats from a CPU game in the morning and a few games' worth of stats in the Association I'm watching now to let you know more specifically how the stats from watched games turn out.

k, keep my shooting tendencies at default. I'll make adjustments during the season.

Also, Toronto Raptors would like to sign Sonny Weems to a 3 year deal, at the lowest amount possible.

Toronto would also like to put Jose Calderon and Amir Johnson on the trading block.
