Where exactly am I supposed to be looking because so far I don't see it. Is it by the defender's feet? And it's not the pulsating meter that comes from holding LT?

k when you are playing intense D. you will see this flash only when you have good position. now you still have to react smart and limit pressing x to reach. if you aim your reach to where the ballhand is you will get decent steals. sorry ill post a video my wife is at the food store when she gets back ill walk you through it brotha i promise.

I'm playing as the '96 Bulls in a season and Ron Harper is an absolute theft artist. I've ripped the ball from the PG bringing it up 3 or 4 straight times before.

Re: TEACHING YOU HOW TO STEAL WITHOUT REACHING IN.

So, I've seen the pulsating circle and figured it had something to do with getting steals, but my question is: as the circle grows and shrinks, does that correspond with a better/worse chance to steal?

In other words, am I better off hitting the button when the circle is at its biggest, or when it's at its smallest? Or does, err, size not matter?

2k is a joke when it comes to explaining things.

Harp, one of my favorite players of all time. Fun to watch him during his early years with the Cavs, his 2 years with the Clippers, and during his Bulls days.

Thanks for the tip. I had given up on trying for a steal. I wish 2K Sports included info like this in the manual. I've learned more tips from watching videos on YouTube and reading posts.

Aloncho! What's up my man? I haven't seen you post in a while, but then again I haven't been over here in a while.

Love the avatar. I finally watched HBO's documentary on the Runnin' Rebels last week. MAN was that a good team.

But back on track...I think Harp is averaging something like 4 to 5 steals a game in my season.

Hmm, yeah. I will have to do some experimenting. I think I've had better luck hitting the button when the circle is at its biggest, but man, it's so hard to tell whether I'm just getting a good dice roll or what.

I have also had some luck keeping my distance from the ballhandler and occasionally diving in while hitting the button without even using the left trigger, but again that could just be luck. I've had some sweet on-ball steals and intercepted passes off the likes of Jason Kidd and Ray Allen that way though.

I really wish they would explain this type of stuff though. I mean how hard can it be to put one friggin sentence somewhere in the manual explaining how that pulsating circle works.

Everything good jd@os! Good to see you around here too. Thanks! Your Ron Harper story brought up some nice memories, so I thought I would mention them. Nice to see people here helping each other on how to make a good clean steal
