Re: NBA 2K 13 Interview Questions
I haven't read any other posts but are we going to have more edit options on our players? i wish we could wear the D Rose Adidas pads for example
Also why don't we come in as a top prospect play a few games first in college before the draft?Comment

Re: NBA 2K 13 Interview Questions
For me, all my questions relate to MyPlayer Mode, because up until NBA 2K12, this was my go to mode in 2K10 and 2K11.
1. Will teammate AI be fixed, particularly in terms of the sensitivity and logic for CPU controlled double teaming and rotations?
This was a massive concern in 2K12 as the defensive AI was completely out of whack and made playing a logical game almost impossible
2. Will there be sliders provided in the MP Mode?
It does not make sense that we cannot be provided some tools to adjust the experience, particularly given that in Association and Season mode we have these tools. The NBA 2K series has always required slider customization because, it seems anyway, that the Development Team has always struggled to provide a baseline, realistic sim experience with the default slider sets. I love the game, always have, but slider adjustment has been a requirement forever -- it needs to be in MP mode
3. Can we not allow players to control player movement in the MP, and actually all other franchise modes?
This way, rather than watching the CPU make trade after trade after trade, we can monitor ongoing transactions in the NBA and adapt our franchise modes accordingly so that I see some teams trade their PG 3 or 4 times in the season or that in MP mode, my entire team continually gets turned over multiple times in a season
4. Can we not allow for user control of uniforms in MP Mode?
No offense, but I like alternate uniforms and I'd rather have this control for both the team that I am controlling and my opponent. Don't get why we can't put a little more of what makes ME happy in MyPlayer...
5. Real life performance, particularly in how things like player speed and tendencies play out, can we not get something a little more appropriate in MyPlayer Mode?
I get that any guy in the NBA can go off and be unstoppable, but let's face it, there doesn't seem to be a lot of relevance between how some middling players can suddenly become unstoppable on a regular basis, particularly in a manner that is out of context to their real world abilities.
6. CPU controlled opponent offence -- can we not figure out how to make this work realistically?
2K12 is infamous for having contested, late-clock threes and hero shots made by CPU opponents. At some point, I think the CPU needs to execute an offense and not have a situation where a PG dribbles out the clock out at the top of the 3-point line, only to jack an off-balance, contested prayer shot that hits paydirt almost every single time. I don't mind if this is an infrequent situation, because realistically this does happen, but this should not happen almost every time down the floor on defense.
You listen to the 2K guys like Rob Jones and Eric Boenish talk about the game and they crow about the realism of the title. This aspect of 2K12 was completely counter to the sense of realism in the title and needs immediate and focused attention to correct the problem.
Anyhow, that's me in a nutshell...Basketball made me the man I am today; Arthritic and Bitter...
What I think I think:
• Y'know, I've never played less NBA 2K than I did with NBA 2K12
• Sports VG titles were REALLY disappointing in 2011-12
• Thank Heaven for ME3 and Arkham City -- saved my winterComment

Re: NBA 2K 13 Interview Questions
Oh...and one more
7. Fastbreak logic -- can this PLEASE be fixed? (We can include overall CPU controlled AI in this one, really)
I don't know how many times I ran fastbreaks in 2K12 where I had a 2 on 1 or a 3 on 1 with an opposing CPU PG moving back on D and wound up with a turnover or missed shot. I am sorry, but even if you are Rajon Rondo, you are not stopping a fastbreak 90% of the time if you are the only guy back and not every team should recover on D against the fastbreak like the entire roster is made up of LeBron James clones on speed. Does there maybe need to be a slider for either "Offensive Transition Recovery" or "Defensive Transition Recovery"? Should there maybe be individual player sliders for "Defensive Posture" that trend between players who stick with their men or cheat into passing lanes?Basketball made me the man I am today; Arthritic and Bitter...

Re: NBA 2K 13 Interview Questions
That's a good question. Commentary has been practically the same for the last 3 years.
It would be nice if the system changed. I mean it's not bad at all, but if you ever hear Kevin or Steve in real games, they don't sound like they do in the game.Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment

Re: NBA 2K 13 Interview Questions
I'm sorry man ,but in my opinion 2k's commentary is the best in any sports game BY FAR. The commentary has changed a lot over the last few years, and at this point sounds about as natural as your gonna get for a video game.Comment

Re: NBA 2K 13 Interview Questions
Will the "D-League" going to have a more in-depth element to it?
Will FA/trading in association mode going to be more realistic? (It's always been too easy to sign or trade for top tier players, can we get some "Melo, LeBron, Dwight-like drama"? Let's say we you're the Magic trying to trade Dwight to the Bobcats, but he declines and won't let you trade him and then articles come out about Dwight and the Magic's future. And Dwight and any other player can add quotes to clear things up or just speak their mind on any matter (basketball related.)).
Will we be able to control only one player again, like we could in 2k11?
Will the rosters be more flexible? (Meaning, can see have at least 18 open roster spots to use as we please for the game rosters, but say in assoc. mode, we'd have to cut those down to 15 or 16, since the new roster rule allows 13 active players).
Will team/player history be acknowledged better. (For example, let's say Kobe retires after year one in 2k13. During that summer, can there be articles, etc. talking about his legacy and achievements, etc. and during Laker games next season, can some mention of Kobe be mentioned?)Comment
