I have a queston, if pre ordering from amazon, how much would it cost with shipping/tax.

Also which place is best to pre order at (money wise).

Usually it varies, check if it says $59.99 + Free Shipping on the side on add to cart, but shipping could be $3.99 I recall.

unless you have Amazon Prime, if you want it on release day 2 day shipping is 7.98 and one day shipping 9.98.

so add those to 59.99 and there u go.
"on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.
yea but will they take psn cards
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.

        lol

Not true. I have all the respect in the world for the ones with extenuating circumstances. There are just some people that want everything their way and think it's a crime if it's not. Some people have no excuse to not do it IF they want ASW that bad. I don't want ASW that bad. I don't care for it at all, really. But I will get the game on release. I want the special edition bad enough. If that was the incentive, I wouldn't cry about it. I'd just preorder. End of story. But if it's offered as a DLC purchase, then the whole point is moot.

Also, while the '91 Warriors and '02 Kings were initially declared to be a pre-order bonus, they ended up being available to most folks who purchased 2K on release day or shortly thereafter. Will it be the same case with All-Star Weekend this year? Since I'm unsure where I'll want to make my 2K purchase (and thus potentially not pre-ordering) would I be able to walk into a GameStop or Best Buy on release day and still receive access to the ASW?
I assume All-Star DLC will be available to purchase as an add on.

I usually order my stuff from Amazon. They have delivery options for release day and a lot of the time have discounts even on new games.

In store you pay $60 plus tax.

On Amazon you can sometimes get $60 total or less for a new game.

OK boiler, I will play devil's advocate

Why does the ONLY game, the leader in it's segment, and the MONOPOLY this year (please spare me Elite talk...) need to get any preorder commitment?

Follow the money, right? Only reason is first week sales, to show something..what?

That's not what this tread is about so start on something like that again.

They have the product and they make the decisions. You have a decision to pre order if want or not. To buy or not to buy. They're not running a charity here.

You can always use Amazon to pre-order. Same deal and everything. You'll get it on release day just not at midnight. But I imagine midnight releases aren't happening in a place where you can't preorder.

Oh my god! Please stop lecturing people with your "don't buy the game" stuff.

How does one electing not to pre-order equal to not buying the game ever.... More over what's that got to do with charity. Nobody here is asking the game for free.

Please stop telling people if they should buy the game or not. Like you say all the time it's their own choice. You really need to let people be. Jeez man your fake moderator wanna be attitude is getting really old. You need to ease off cowboy.

I thought we were done with is this. Oh well. Lets not forget that when the decision to do this preorder came out, for all anyone knew, Live was coming out and coming strong as long as you believed the hype from SOME corners. So, yeah, competition was a primary motivator.

At the end of the day, the first wave of sales is a KEY to the overall success of a game title and ESPECIALLY sports titles. So, forgive them for trying to make smart business decisions. Would you prefer they just offered it as a DLC only and NOT reward the dedicated fans?

I'll be honest; I think the majority of the people complaining are those that are trying to NOT by the game at full retail. And that's fine. You are smart with your dollar. But you get what you pay for. Accept it.

I have no problem with the preorder bonuses. Last three sentences are genius.
