If they can do what rockstar is doing and report hackers and cheaters, than yes there would be no excuse to not have crew.

I played crew for a while and it sucked too many cheaters and hackers to get a good game in. So it doesn't really matter to me if it's in there or not.

If your talking about the highly hackable, extremely unbalanced, everyone is digitally better than digital Jordan Crew mode(subjective opinion)....Oh hells yes.

i don't think many outside of private crew groups and hackers will miss THAT crew mode. If Crew used to be what I always wanted it to be(more akin to NHL10's BAP with hard overall caps) then I'd be frickin miffed about it disappearing and not comming back.

Im sorry that last bit sounded real selfish. If you enjoyed 2k crew in any fashion(except you hacker type low lifes) then I'm sorry 2k has done this.

But c'mon gents! 2K is pretty good for this sorta thing. I'll bet 2k13 has a crew mode, back and better than ever

It was very annoying but if you and your crew master the game those hackers are very beatable. The cyber faced hackers and the 20 footers were ridiculous though.

I won't buy it if it doesn't have crew because to me, that gives my player no purpose. It's like you just play the mode for ur own recognition. But with crew implemented, you have something to work for, to be able to show off ur player online. Now I understand that the hackers really messed it up for everybody, but with every game made, someone is gonna hack or mod or something to get through a game fast and easy. But with 2 years now, hopefully they have found a way to not allow hackers to outrageously hack (ie 25 foot guys etc) then I think it will be okay. I honestly don't mind playing the people with "Lebron James" characters or "J.R Smith's", it's just the 10 foot people that annoy me.

No way man. Most hackers I ran into mightve named their player lebron but for whatever reason the real nba players with the cyber faced guys were literally 99 in everything. I've nearly beaten three 8 footers by myself but if it's a hacked Kobe Bryant it's like he's in practice mode.

never played crew mode, so it is not a must for me. Solving the issues in association online is - sliders, flex. calendar, etc.

Honestly, crew mode would be nice without cheaters and hackers and very frustating with them, so I dont mind if it is out, my decission whether to get 2k13 or not is not going to be affected by that...

I played a bit of crew in 2K11 It was fun until we ran into the occasional hackers. Real basketball fans will still buy 2K13 with or without crew. I do hope they have it though but what other options do we have? NBA Live?

NO! Without it, there will be NOTHING new they will be adding! With all the money they have, they can afford it.

right stick dribbling, physics, etc etc
if you basing your purchase from the use of created players instead of nba teams, you buying for the wrong reason

Has anyone here even tried Crew? I used to be an association junkie but after playing Crew -- developing REAL chemistry with REAL teammates -- it's hard to go back to playing the static CPU. Of course with 10ft giants it ruins the whole mode but the question is assuming cheaters can be neutralized somehow.

They'll never be able to stop the hacks. The only thing they can do is ban the people who hack. If they can find a way to determine who the hackers are and aren't then it will make it a lot easier to stop them.

People don't understand that, that the hacks aren't 2k's fault. I also suggested what rockstar is doing with Max Payne 3, where you send in evidence of the hacker with his info. So they will only be able to play each other.
