if you want a realistic game that is fun and competitive, you have to use a slider set. 2k12 sucks on default settings. if you dont want to try it and continue to be frustrated, thats fine, but you dont know what your missing.

have fun complaining when you could be enjoying it

Do the slider change the AI shooting? I've played games where no matter what I'm destined to lose. I have watched the CPU hit 3 or 4 C- shots in a row while I keep bricking A- shots? There is no way the CPU has the same shooting % as we do.

Another trend I noticed with the AI is that some plays they are almost programmed to score. I have literally had the CPU grap 5 O-Reb on my team and I'm laughing the whole time because I know they will score on the play no matter how great my D is.

Do sliders effect hardcoding? I ask because I'm sure on Sim HOF both the player and CPU have the same shooting sliders? Even with the same slider , the AI barely misses any open shots while I probably miss about 20 B or higher shots in some games where the CPU wants me to lose.

The only thing I change is clutch factor, for some reason clutch factor makes your shots miss and the cpu shoos fall. I'm playing on superstar and simulation sliders. I'm not bragging, I just had to learn these three things.
1.How to get past the cpu
      2. how to properly use the intense defense speeds
      3. Use otfc with my defensive settings.

2k12 is not a pick up and play, shot it took my the whole year to figure the game out. Not speaking of using exploits but how the isomotion works, the intense defense works and how to shut stars down. The game is really enjoyable, I just keep clutch factor off. If I put it on then I'll most likely won't finish that game.

Thanks for the clutch factor info, I will be turning it off. I researched and seems like everyone is having the same problem as me; and the problem has nothing to do with me needing to improve my skills.

For example, last game played I kept tracked of some ratings. Here is what I found

        1. Shot 1 by me Nick young A+ rating 3pt shot but missed
        2. Shot 2 by cpu rated D in my face from the outside
        3. Shot 3 by me B+ another brick
4.Shot 4 by cpu C- in my face again.

Seems the game is set up to keep things close which ruins the realism. Grabbing 5 consecutive O-Reb in one possession isn't realistic just to score 2 points on me cause I'm playing great D.

I also had Josh McRoberts drain a 3 in my face because the shot clock was at 1..... come on 2k?

yes the sliders affect AI shooting. good sliders make the game play great all around.

That only further proves my point.

I've never had to play with sliders in NBA 2K before. The fact that it has reached that point to have a playable experience shows that 2K12 is the worst NBA 2K I've played so far.

So then what does it mean when people can play the game without sliders and don't experience the same amount of frustration as you?

What plays are you trying to run? I love breaking down plays and would like to show you a better offense than running back and forth.

This was my first video so please don't fault me for the commentary but here's a nice quick play that almost fits into your style. Its a nice little play that lets everyone be an option. Quick hitting plays like this may help you out. Also, based on your style, you may want to look into the San Antonio Spurs offense as it seems a pick and roll offense may help you out a little better.

I pretty much run the entire Orlando playbook, since I set the CPU to automatically call plays for me.

But some of the more common ones, ORL Chest (a typical pick and roll with Howard and Nelson), Floppy Post (center and PF set up in the low post, while the SG and SF rush out to the 3 point line. If open, I let the SG, who now is J.J. Redick since I traded Richardson, do a catch and shoot. If not open, I have him pass down to Howard or Garnett in the post), Circle Post which sets up a high pick and roll between Nelson and Howard behind the 3 point line, and sets Howard up in the low post if I can't get an open shot, and CHA High which has Garnett rush out, his defender screened, and left open for a mid range jumper.
