if you dont like the team you got drafted by then you should be able to turn down your rookie contract at the start of the season and be a free agent. it would be harder to become a star in the league but thats the price you pay for not wanting to play for a certain team. suck it up or hit the road.

Re: NBA 2K13 My Player Idea
It's a bit late now to post our ideas but I do hope these fixes are rectified in 2k13 ...
In addition, you shouldn't be able to earn minutes so easily, let alone take over the starting gig over a well established player.
Heck, if you were drafted in the second round, it should be common for you not to even play in the game unless it is a blow out or another player gets injured. When that happens, then you have your chance to shine.
But yeah, I was PG for the Rockets, and during my first few games, my minutes kept increasing despite me not really play all that well. I even played more minutes than Goran Dragic in my first NBA game ... I ended up taking over the starting job over Kyle Lowry after 15 games with an overall rating of 64 (Lowry was in the mid 70's).Last edited by vtcha; 08-11-2012, 10:34 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 My Player Idea
I like the idea, I never get traded, spent my entire 3.5 season as a King in 2k10 nd 3 seasons as a NOH in 2k11Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 My Player Idea
It's 2k's fault for declaring and marketing us as the franchise saviour despite not having gone through a full season, let alone a single game.
Everyone's player experienced their own "Linsanity" moment, which is absurd as most of us did not even get drafted in the top 5 ...
Which brings me to another idea (this may be biased and unfair but its realistic lol). If you are drafted to a small market team, it should be MUCH HARDER to gain popularity due to the lack of media exposure and TV coverage, hence less endorsements.
** I'll probably put this in the 2k14 wishlist as I doubt 2k implemented this ...Last edited by vtcha; 08-11-2012, 10:59 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 My Player Idea
No, you should have to stick out your rookie contract at least . Now if they could find a way to have your GM trade you to another team on draft day or something that would be cool.Currently playing FIFA 2013 & DOTA 2 ( PC )

Re: NBA 2K13 My Player Idea
If you don't want to request a trade then don't request a trade, it's that simple. They need to have a one successful trade request limit, if you're trade request is successful, you don't get another one until the final year of your 2nd contract or something like that.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 My Player Idea
My player in 2k12 did only because the Wizards started 2-17. 3 teams wanted me, so I asked for a trade. If you do ask for a trade, wait until you're a starter.Red Sox|Patriots|Celtics|UConnComment

Re: NBA 2K13 My Player Idea
You know what I would like, even though you're probably gonna be putting up great stats. That the team just trades you for good picks or whatever.
Maybe like the Harden situation right now, that they choose a different player over you and they can't give you an extension and trade you for first round picks etc. and you end up in Toronto.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 My Player Idea
Trade me without me requesting a trade. It adds some intrigue to my MP's career that goes beyond the usual game in, game out aspect of the game, if that makes sense. I don't need to worry about being traded because I'm the best player in my 2K12 >.<Canucks | Packers | Blue Jays | Lakers | Raptors
