Re: NBA 2K13 Signature Skills -- Confirmed Additions vs Speculated Additions
Already confirmed
1 Floor General - A player with this skill improves the teams offensive awareness and executes plays quicker
2 Brick Wall - A player with this skill lays the smack down during picks
3 Dead Eyes - A player with this skill isn't affected as much when shooting the J with a hand in his face
4 Lockdown Defender/Defensive Specialist - A player with this skill can get around "Brick Walls" with ease while also staying with their man off the dribble
5 Chase Down Block - A player with this skill is particularly skilled at catching up to block shots from behind
6 Corner Specialist - A player with this skill can down the corner three consistently
7 Alley Ooper - I saw this mentioned briefly in the Game Informer article. It didn't really elaborate on what it does exactly, but I'm assuming a player with this skill is a better finisher at receiving alley oops.
8 Spot Up Shooter - I'm assuming a player with this skill is can knock down spot up jumpers consistently. Unlike the Corner Specialist, this would affect shots from different areas on the court.
9 Ankle Breaker - I guess as the name implies, this skill gives players the ability to pull off ankle-breaking crossovers more effectively.
10 Pick Pocketer - This player is skilled at getting on-ball steals
My additions
- 11 Court Vision - Players that can spot open players and see more of the court
- 12 Flashy Passer - Players capable of making flashy passes
- 13 Dunker - They have a Alley ooper and I think they will have a skill that is for guys that have elite dunk packages and are able to finish
- 14 Post Game - Players that have above average post moves and footwork
- 15 3Pt shooter- Players good at shooting the 3pters
- 16 Pick and Roller - Players good at pick and rolling
- 17 Acrobatic Finisher - Players that are good at absorbing contact, adjusting their shot and finishing
- 18 Rim Protector - Guys good at blocking shots in the paint, defending the paint
- 19 Enforcer - Players that defend the paint don't give up easy baskets and give hard fouls
- 20 Defensive Intensity - I think this will be a sig skill that makes the team player better defense
- 21 Off ball mover - Players that are good at running off screens and getting open shots
- 22 Clutch gene - Players capable of hitting clutch shots
- 23 Energizer - Players that hustle, tip rebounds dive on the floor keep plays alive. These players can swing the momentum in your favor or get the crowd loud or amped
- 24 Pump faker/ foul drawer - Players good at drawing fouls
- 25 Charge taker - Players that are great at taking charges
- 26 Glass Cleaner - Players that are good at rebounding
- 27 Speedster - Players that are quick and explosive
- 28 Fadeaway Shooter - Guys good at fadeaway shooting.

Unless there were to have a skill to counter it, like Low Post Defender. Enforcer would be for the easy shots.
I like them. I think it would make a major impact in game and give each player a unique feel. I think it will make teammates in MP play better to their abilities.
I would add:
- Low Post Defender- Players that can defend post moves
-Pick N Poppers- Players that excel in getting into open space after setting picks
-Outlet Passers- Players that excel in making long passes with accuracy
I am trying to think of more team skills for players. I know there might be at least 5.Comment

I think it is a good screen most of all. It would be silly to see defenders falling down every single time as opposed to sometimes.Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment

I cant wait to see the rest announced, so I can guess which ones goes to certain players and which ones they dont deserve.Comment

Well, we do know that "Brick Wall" players won't have an effect on "Defensive Specialists", so that's a good start.Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Signature Skills -- Confirmed Additions vs Speculated Additions
Lockdown Defender/specialists will counter Brick Walls, Dead Eyes/Corner Specialist(assuming), Ankle breakers(assuming). If there is a PNR sig for handlers, I expect lockdown defender is a counter to that.
This could be a great thing. Imagine having to draft/sign players with certain skills so they can counter stars on division/conference rivals. Like drafting/signing a lockdown defender so they can guard someone like Rose or Westbrook.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Signature Skills -- Confirmed Additions vs Speculated Additions
I like that they have counters to sig skills. I hope there is a counter to almost every sig skill. It wouldnt be a good idea to have something that can be overpowering at times that doesnt have anything to stop it.
