You hit the nail on the head my friend. I'm not gonna lie, i'll have an amazing gaming PC one day, and when that day comes it will be the last year I buy 2k on console, however ,right now i'm simply making ends meet working and paying bills so i'll stick to my Xbox, and PC gamers need to keep to themselves

Monster PC's? 2K12 isn't poorly optimized GTA IV where you need 8 GB of RAM, 4 processors and 4 GB graphics card. I bought mine computer 5 YEARS AGO!!
      AMD Athlon II X2 240
      2.81 GHz
      2 GB RAM
      32-bit
      500 gb HDD
      ATI Radeon 4650

And it's running everything on high in one very fluid motion.

And the guy above me ASKED ABOUT MODS!!!!! Damn. Some people just don't ****ing read.

No big deal, will just patch it in on PC..

Since I started playing on PC, the console version gets played little by little..

last year I had around 7 hours of playtime on Console

and in the hundreds of hours on PC....no big deal.

PC guys, let me ask you a question and please be honest: How much time do you spend modding/patching vs playing? Seriously.

No sure ppl even care. As long they arent wearing clown shoes or sandals who cares. Pluse mods are an mute point when u cant even use them online.

Sadly I probably modded the PC version more than played. I buy both and I play console version until PC patch is released. Once the patch is released I'll start an association and with the mods and stuff it usually has me playing 2k until the next one is released. Since 2k12 wasn't as good I really didn't get into association mode.

In terms of time spent I'd rank it as
                      1. Playing console version(mostly team-up, some ranked matches and online association)
                      2. Modding PC version
                      3. Playing PC version.

Prior 2k's modding would be last.

For the modders I don't think they can play much but for me using the mods is just a simple click and drag. Copy & paste and I'm good to go and it only takes about a minute.

I don't go crazy downloading every single mod as I only pick the courts and faces that's really needed. For example the Knicks MSG, Bostons TD Garden and players with missing beards and I'm good to go.

ON TOPIC: I don't mind the generics as much but it would be nice to add some fake details on the side of the shoes instead of it being a solid color. Someone mentioned NBA Live 10's generics and I can't find any pics for it as I'm curious how they handled the generic shoes. Could someone provide a pic?

I don't mod the game. All I do is check the moddingway or nlsc and download what I like. That is 15 minutes every day of work. And there are days that I don't play 2K12 but there are day I play for 4-5 hours 2K12. So it's not really time consuming.

I think it's just a matter of personal preference. We all care a little bit, it's just about what level of immersion we prefer. In truth, the idea of caring about including authentic jerseys could just as well be regarded as playing dress up. Would we settle for these jerseys as long as gameplay was in line?

So in that way, I tend not to draw issue with folks yearning for more and more detail in terms of bands, shoes, and clothes. I understand they're just looking for more authenticity, just as we were when we finally ended up with polygonal jerseys back in '97.
