Then wait and see if there is an announcement. 2k even said that there is more information to come about this mode.

Well then why keep announcing things like this and Jay Z then not elaborate on them if that's the case? If these announcements are to work the media buzz why not detail them while you have the medias attention.

So what is the point of continuing to comment on a thread you have no interest in, ok we get it you are not impressed move on you don't have to comment or agree with everyone else who has the same opinion as you after the fact. The olympics just happened the question was asked 2k did something about it in there own way and added the best team ever assembled.

Some feel that voicing their displeasure over and over will alert 2K devs. to make the "necessary" changes or else they'll continue to voice their displeasure until 2Kxx adds what they want.

What's up with Scottie not being in this year? He was in 2K11 and 2K12, doesn't make sense that now he'd balk at being in a video game.

Nice that Barkley is finally in the game; hopefully we get those 93 Suns in the game finally.

Sorry but you are the minority. You need to always remember that. People who come on OS and care about passing, CPU double teams and other gameplay only features are the hardcore minority (I'm included in that group). Most people who will buy this game are excited about the Dream Team and will never watch that developer insight.

I wish more people would realise this. Every developer, doesnt matter the game/genre/etc focuses all announcements to the casual masses. Everything under the hood is for the hardcore fans who really can tell the difference and play the game the "way" it should be played.

I think they look fine....it's Stockton that I have an issue with...

I'm hoping some of those guys get shaped up just like the classic players did last year. I recall the initial Legends video having a slew of slight inaccuracies (it used a mid- to late 90's Richmond). By release, they'd adjusted many details to those guys. Larry Bird would be another player from that Dream Team picture that could use an alteration (to his '92 self).

If 2K was really interested in knocking down all the details, a goateed Jordan would be a pretty cool touch.

I just heard no Pippen, a little late to the party. WHAT THE ****! Say goodbye to my purchase. I could never play as the Bulls without Pip. This is a serious misstep. A very big one imo. Now I am going to read this thread and see what others think lol. I am in complete shock. I had this as a purchase on PC but not until they make this right.

Anyway, not a big fan of those player models.

Control sticks - huge announcement.
2 New Olympic teams - not a huge announcement.

Put it in perspective:

Not everybody is going to play this, and the majority of you that do are going to spend no more than 6-8 hours of your time on NBA 2k13 playing dream team/olympic team games - but everybody will probably spend a good 15-25% of their NBA 2k13 time learning/using the new control stick.


Now if you have the rest of the Olympic teams from either 2012 or 1992....then this might be huge announcement worthy - It would be the same level as when they announced the Jordan challenges...

LOL. No they wont. I will use the buttons to shoot like I always will and will learn the dribble stick by playing games. I'm not going to spend any time learning the new controls.

God, I swear for as many of you that complain about 2k's marketing...you guys have NO marketing or PR skills. "NBA 2K13 : NOW WITH NEW CONTROLS!!!"

You should blame Scottie for not being there, not 2k! He wanted more money, likely more than 2k was willing to pay. Its also possible he didnt want to be apart of the digital Dream Team but his likeness is still in the classic teams.

The media is satisfied with the amount of info its getting. You arent. Its always a slow burn with 2k. We have 6 weeks til release. They will slowly release info like they always have,

The Jay z news was def better then this.. I mean this mode is ok at best.. But its the same thing with legends how much can you do with the legends seriously.. Can we hear some great gameplay news or something about Online like Spectator mode whcih would be huge.. Im not hating this is ok but it is not that huge...

Question: Didnt we already do this with the Jay-Z announcement? Isnt it understood that Ronnie 2k's announcements are NEVER geared to get hardcore fans excited? He is their ****ing Twitter/Social Media guy. He is totally focused on casual fans. The same people who were upset about Ronnie's hype during the Jay-Z announcement are here complaining about the hype for this announcement.

Actually that tweet about passing that someone posted earlier DOES get some of us hardcore fans excited. To us, IMPROVED GAMEPLAY is a huge announcement, much bigger than the Dream Team inclusion.

Is it unrealistic to think that a "huge announcement" could be regarding a gameplay improvement? Some people on this forums are disappointed that the announcement doesn't have the substance they were hoping for. I think most people who think about it realize that the Dream Teams are just a gimmick to sell more games to casual fans.
