Its not only Wade, but Kobe too. Just that the Heat are more relevant online than the lakers..I'm talking about them dunking like Rose and Lebron
Hold on dude. Wade is the same caliber of dunker as Rose if not a stronger one. No player in the game should be doing a 360 one handed dunk in game period. No one does that. Thats probably in to please the casual guy though.

change the title of your thread to overrate wade's dunk ratings.

Wade had some knee troubles in the playoffs which limited his explosiveness.

        ^ he can still dunk

Re: Is 2k gonna continue to overrate Wade?

I hope his ratings don't suffer because of this past season. The man literally played most of the year with a bum knee. There's a reason he opted out of the Olympics to have surgery. Yet the dude still played better than any other SG besides Kobe. Wait until next season starts and he has healthy knees again. Maybe then ya'll can STFU and quit underrating the best SG in the game today.

Dwyane Wade has been the most underrated player in the NBA pretty much since he joined the league. His career average numbers are slightly better Kobe's and the dude is a monster. His Finals performance in 2006 is one of the greatest of all-time. While he did have to suffer through a few years with a crappy Heat team he continued to put up MVP-type numbers year after year.

Considering the severe knee problems Wade played with 22PPG, 4.8RPG, 4.6APG, 1.7SPG, and 1.3BPG is amazing. Especially playing next to the league MVP who had one of his best seasons yet.

Kobe is a 25/5/5/1.5/.5 career guy
Dwayne is a 25/5/6/2/1 career guy
BTW Wade shoots nearly 49% overall and Kobe shoots 45% overall.

The media and NBA have robbed Wade of All-NBA first team and defensive rosters several years. Dude get ****ted on for someone of his caliber. He's still the 2nd or 3rd best player in the league.

This is the truth, Dwade literally played almost the whole year with something torn up in his knee and had surgery this offseason.. and still managed to play good throughout the playoffs.

Unfortunately I think Wade's numbers will only go down, not only because of age and injuries, but because of his new "I don't need to be the alpha dog, LeBron is better than me, we don't need 2 players to score 27 ppg" mentality.

James will even be better this season and do everything like he did last season: passing, rebounding and scoring. I still don't understand this new mentality by Wade and I'm very disappointed. He was my favourite player.

Of course I hope he'll prove me wrong and that he'll be the fantastic scorer that we all know.

That's the point of living rosters, if you play like crap for a long period of time your rating SHOULD DECREASE regardless of what your career average is. Wades individual ratings should drop until he plays better this season. I hate that people fight so hard to keep star players overated yet role players can get huge decreases and they don't comment

Re: Is 2k gonna continue to overrate Wade?

Im a Knicks fan and saying Wade is Overrated just shows how much we dont appreciate greatness.

The 97 speed and quickness he had has been downed to a 93 so obviously they understand he is slowing down. His vertical and dunking i can understand are overrated. 94 vertical is silly, he had a measured 36" vert in his prime so he should be closer to a 31 by now. But an easier way for 2k to fix these issues is having wingspan measurements in game.

Wade's vert isn't elite but its good, his incredibly long wingspan is what allows a 6'4 player to play like 6'7.

                    My wade ratings:

                    Overall: 93-96
                    Inside:91
                    Close:94
                    Midrange:75
                    3PT:65
                    FT:78
                    Layup:98
                    Dunk:78
                    Steal:82
                    Block:70
                    Vertical:84
                    Awareness off:99
                    Awareness def:88
                    Speed:91
                    Quickness:99
                    On-ball defense:82

People must remember, Wade is the most complete SG. He has everything Kobe has plus PG abilities. Wade was injured last season so it seemed he was declining. Wade is no joke, he is the last person i would write off and i would never disrespect his greatness.

This Kobe vs wade debate is interesting I'll put in my two cents.

If Kobe was on a team like the heat his whole career would he be as enriched in the media and record books as he currently is ? I don't think so , Kobe for most of his career has had an amazing supporting cast and the numbers don't lie for wade he's right on par with Kobe .

So putting up the best numbers of any SG except one is playing like crap? This season Wade was injured. It's not like he had a little sprain or a little finger injury. His freakin' knee has been torn up all year. That's the reason he skipped the Olympics to get surgery. There's no proof he's in any sort of decline.

If being injured means you're on a decline or playing poorly then Derrick Rose needs to be rated in the mid 80s at best. Stupid logic is stupid.

I'm not a fan of huge increases or decreases to anyone because a lot of the changes are so small or temporary. Someone might have an off stretch during the season and pay for it in their ratings even though nothing big has changed and it's just a little slump. Doesn't mean their skills have declined. Same goes for players dealing with injuries and playing through it so they can have it repaired during the off-season.

P.S. I guess you missed Wade's awful playoff performance prior to having his knee drained and then returning to torch the Pacers.

I honestly believe Wade only said those things to give LeBron the mentality he needed to lead the Heat through the Finals. Wade also knew he was injured and wouldn't be able to carry the team for a whole series if they needed him to.

Wade's numbers will go back up again. Finally having time off for surgery and fixing the knee issues he's been dealing with for a few years is going to be big. Not to mention the chemistry the Heat have now...

its about FG% not numbers. Thats what should determine ratings. Wade isnt consistant anymore just like ray allen. Guys want him to have a high rating just be cause his name is dwane wade not because of his efficiency on the court. In 2k12 i lobbied to have mellos rating decreased afte he was playing like garbage for 2 months. Only people that tried to defend his 84 midrange was knicks fans flooding twitter and lobbying against his rating decrease. Insider listened to me after the obvious proof of his poor play and when playoffs came around and he switch to PF from SF while playing better , his ratings went back up to reflect that. Wade should have to go through the same thing, no "superstar calls" here
