    Long 2 instead of a 3 pointer?

I really hate when you're either a foot in front of behind the 3 point line, and you want to move your player to right behind the line to spot up for the 3...but the animation just never lets you do it properly.

I've always wished there a button/animation that would put you in the correct position. I know i mentioned it in the wishlist thread a couple years back, but I don think anyone fully understands what I'm saying. Kind of like this vid...you'll lose your dribble, but you'll be right behind the line.

I know exactly what you mean. I also have trouble doing the opposite. My player is a solid 2-3 feet behind the 3 point line and i want him to just move up 2 feet to take a more reasonable 3 point shot, but too often he'll take an awkward 3 foot dribble and will be just inside the line for a long 2.

Yeah exactly...happens from both sides. Really annoying when you NEED a 3 to tie it...and drain a 2 pointer with no time left.

Totally agree with this. Hopefully a natural animation, not a button though. When the player is at the line and he gets passed the ball, the player should naturally do that as he catches the ball.

And what if I want that 2 to win the game? What if that player is a good mid-range shooter but not so good at the 3?

I know what the OP is talking about and I would love to see this improved but it's difficult.

I think that tendencies and ratings should play into it. If he's a 45 3 point shooter but 75 mid range shooter and has the tendency to take a mid range shot, then he'll take a mid range shot and won't step out to the 3. However, if he's an 80 3 point shooter and 75 mid range shooter and has a tendency to take 3 point shots then he will take that 1 step to go behind the line.

More often than not I want him to be right behind the line rather than right in front of the line(if he's already that deep anyway).

I agree with what bm011's post said. It's a great idea to also implement their tendencies and it will choose based on that. If they did add this, that would be AMAZING. Small things like these add up!
