Re: Sig skills for each nba teams staring 5
This list is imho ridiculous, NOT EVERYONE NEEDS A SIG SKILL. Especially not 4 like Jeremy Lin. This is going out of control, I hope 2K doesn't do it. Let's see what Jeremy Lin will do the first couple of months, then we'll see if he deserves those attributes. Be consistent, else no way.Comment

Re: Sig skills for each nba teams staring 5
Yeah I definitely was considering that too, I just felt like he should have a defensive skill but yeah I can agree on finisher. Maybe even acrobatComment

Re: Sig skills for each nba teams staring 5
I think not everyone deserves a signature skill, seems like it's a must have for a player to have at least 2 or 3.Comment

Re: Sig skills for each nba teams staring 5
DALLAS 2013 MAVERICKS
Darren Collison -- [none]
O.J. Mayo -- Shot Creator, Deadeye
Shawn Marion -- Scrapper, Lockdown Defender, Active Hands
Dirk Nowitzki -- Closer, Anti-Freeze, Deadeye, Heat Retention, Microwave
Chris Kaman -- Hustle Points, Post Proficiency
This is tough for Collison, Mayo and Kaman seeing as how they've never been Mavs before, and I don't watch them as often in real life.
-Doesn't seem like Collison excels in much of anything at all.
-Mayo is a big offensive threat and can create his own shot, though he isn't quite good enough of a ball handler to warrant Ankle Breaker, and while he does get some steals, I'm not sure if he's more deserving of Interceptor or Pickpocket, so I gave him neither. Maybe you guys can decide.
-Marion, at this point in his career, doesn't have enough athleticism or flash to warrant either of the dunk perks, but he's become a great defender over the years, and is really a scrappy, disruptive player on defense. He lead the team in rebounding last season, and a lot of it is due to his scrappiness and hustle.
-For Dirk, it seems like I'm giving him just about all of the momentum-related perks, which seems ridiculous, but when you think about it, that's pretty much what his entire career has been predicated on. His incredible combination of sheer consistency and the ability to shoot over just about anyone at any time, even stepping up in clutch moments made him the MVP in 2007 and remains why he's still such an offensive threat.
-Kaman is a great post scorer and was definitely a good shot blocker in his prime, but I think he's fallen off in that regard, so I don't think I can give him Eraser, but I could understand if some disagree.Last edited by djwax90; 09-03-2012, 08:28 PM.DALLAS 2011 MAVERICKS

And lol at Evan Turner, he's actually the most mediocre player in the NBA.Comment

Re: Sig skills for each nba teams staring 5
That is my team no bias. I can't give J Rich a highlight reel. He can dunk and catch oops but he is not doing highlight reel dunks anymore.Comment

Re: Sig skills for each nba teams staring 5
Miami Heat
Mario Chalmers
Active Hands, Interceptor
Dwyane Wade
Finisher, Acrobat, Shot Creator, Eraser, Closer
LeBron James
Finisher, Interceptor, Chase Down Artist, Closer, Dimer
Shane Battier
Spot Up Shooter, Corner Specialist, Lockdown Defender, Charge Card
Chris Bosh
Spot Up Shooter, Post Proficiency
Debatable:- Dwyane Wade & LeBron James can easily rack up more than 5 SS, it was tough deciding which 5 SS best matched their style. LeBron should seriously have more than 5 sig skills, the guy is just too versatile (hence there is another thread about this debate ...)
- IMO, Chris Bosh and possibly Mario Chalmers can also be considered for "closer", as they have proven to be quite good during clutch situations. Only problem is, they're playing alongside D-Wade & LeBron...
