First thing I'll do is dream team vs 2012 team. It'll be fun playing with all the stars, figuring out the new controls, etc

1. Pick up the pre-ordered game from Best Buy. Ignore all of the salesman's comments because we actually don't have anything in common. Smack him in the face, take the game home.

2. Pop the disc in the PS3, head to the practice court with Austin Rivers - really curious to see his moves in 2K's universe with the new dribble stick.

3. After I'm satisfied with freestyling, I'm going to see if there's a new tutorial/how-to mode similar to 2k12. Work on some moves.

4. Immediately check out the Create-a-Player feature. See if they have made ANY decent improvements. Pray we have more options than the crappy offering from 2k12. Probably create a 7 foot tall point guard named Bobby Bolzak. Put him on the Bobcats.

5. Take Bobby Bolzak and the Bobcats into a quick game on rookie against the CPU. See what we're working with here.

6. Scope out all the player ratings, signature skills. Make some tweaks based on my preferences/what I feel is accurate.

7. Jump into association mode. Sim 10 seasons into the future. See how many of the problems from 2k12 are still there. (IE too many high rated players sitting in free agency, custom draft class freeze after season 6, all cold zones for CAPS, random teams with poor rosters winning the championship after year 3, etc.)

8. Realize I've forgone lunch and dinner for this game....feel really hungry....drive back to Best Buy, find the idiot salesman, ask him why he didn't bother warning me this would happen...invite him out for burgers and beer. Halfway through the outing, realize again that we don't actually have anything in common. Reject him publicly.

This won't be the first thing I do, but I will def do this before I start an association. The ratings in 2k12 after a few seasons were absolutely ridiculous... Way too many players had high ratings (80+) causing a lot of them to end up in free agency, simply because teams could no longer afford them after giving other high rated players big contracts. Was ridiculous.

On the plus side, you could always pick up a really good player for your MLE lol

wow only 2 people chose practice mode so they can learn the game? I hope practice mode is essential this year instead of this new " pick up and play" mentality people seem to have

Get a quick game in to see how my Thunder are looking against the Lakers and then I'm playing against any of my friends that want it. From then, I'm on association all ****ing night.
