I copied it from another thread in which I posted it.

What am I trying to prove? Look at what I quoted to answer that question.

is that list going up, down? around...
he posted a list of names and that's your evidence.

      the source, please?

Who are the best scorers in the league this season by the quarter? Kobe Bryant is leading the league in overall scoring this year, and LeBron James , Kevin Durant and many other NBA superstars are following right behind him...

I just wish there was a breakdown about what happens in the last 5 minutes that was fully explained.

      hmmmmmm, this is getting interesting.

At the end of the day I really could care less about the sig skills stuff. The game has been fine without it for years now. Why bother putting it in now. Just make the game to where it will play good and be done with. Wasting time on something like sig skills is kind of dumb to me to be honest. As longs as the game plays good then I'm happy with it.

People keep bringing up "cheese" to justify 5 sig skills max, but why can't we demand 2K to give us a product where sig skills won't result in cheese? It really is on 2K, and 2K alone, if they don't deliver with these sig skills by creating an imbalance in gameplay. I demand

By the way OP, Lebron doesn't even justify 5 sig skills, but to me it really is the CONCEPT of limitation that really bothers , unnecessarily. It's SO arbitrary.

Agree. Like I said before, a scrub player could have more than 5 just by being good at setting picks, drawing charges, chasing loose balls, not getting cold (or hot) shooting, boxing out, and wearing down opponents he bangs down low. Reggie Evans or Anderson Varejao could have 6. 5 is just an arbitrary number.

And I don't see how anyone can read the sig skills list and think "cheese." I don't much like the idea of sig skills, but I'm defending it until people give it a chance. Most of the skills fit into 3 categories: higher percentage (but not much higher), increase teammate awareness (but not much), and unlockable animations. If an opponent has a good connection of a Dimer to a Spot-up Shooter, then take it away. That would be true without sig skills. What other ones are people worried about?

If LeBron had 15 or so, it would make him play much more realistic in terms of the CPU controlling him.

For example, FIFA has unlimited skill limits I'm pretty sure. Someone like Ronaldo or Messi (92 overall), the true elites, are separated from the other players around 88 overall due to their sig skills and how it represents their skill sets. The same should be in 2k. It would be a travesty if someone like MKG and LeBron both had 5 sig skills with 3 of them overlapping. Where's the separation in talent then? Sig skills are a brilliant idea but the execution is off IMO.
You sound ********, the point is not the amount of sig skills, the purpose is the type of skills given to make them stand out. thats how you separate the talent, Rudy Gay and LeBron aren't going to have the same skills. Obviously you don't read into things before you make comments so I'm not wasting my time writing an essay to show how misinformed you are. 2k isnt the one cheesing, its the players

Why do these threads about 5 sig skill limits keep popping up? Better yet why are we complaining about a feature we have not yet experienced?

                    This

Limits are necessary to ensure balance. That's it. 2k made a judgement call, lets at least see how it plays out.

Lebron doesn't specialize in a lot of things. He is really good at a lot of things but only special on a few.

He's a good defender but not a lock down defender
He can block shots but not an eraser
He can pass but not a dimer
He can dunk on people but not a posterizer

There might be five that fit him but it's not necessary to represent him properly in game
I think LeBron is a lock down defender ...

It may be just me, but I read what he said as more of a "LeBron isn't special to where only he should have more than 5 sig skills"

Not necessarily that "LeBron just isn't special." Since some people keep saying LeBron should have all these sig skills and are complaining about it.

But Classic88 pretty much wrapped up everyone's argument. How about we just wait and see how they work for ourselves before jumping down someone's throat about them..

I'm sorry but the whole "you have to wait" thing is overblown. If this is what the developers say it is than the 5 max limit is a bad idea.

And I don't think people are realizing that sig skills are just little things players do to truly separate themselves from other NBA players..for example-
ALL point guards can pass the ball, correct? So what separates Steve Nash from Jrue Holiday? Signature Skills...
Lebron and Thad Young have "Chasedown Blocker", but Lebron probably has a higher block rating.
People need to stop freaking out over this.

My question is does Lebron posterize people like that still? Look back to last year and ask yourself, did dunk on folks like Blake did? That's why he doesn't have posterizer and guys like BG do.
