You are certainly no marketing expert. If you have bad news, release it sooner rather than later so that the furor dies down before release.

you do realize people cheat in online ranked matches right? pulling the plug while they never get a disconnect on their stats.

pulling the plug in and out so they can intentionally lag the game.

i havent played a top 300 online ranked person yet that didnt CHEAT to win. NEVER EVER. So should they get rid of online ranked matches as well?

I wouldn't care if they did. PLaying online is not important to everyone. Same as Crew Mode, it isn't everyone's thing.

NBA 2k is about the NBA players for me, I don't want to spend hours creating and playing with a virtual copy of myself, i'd rather lace up my kicks and go down the real court. At least I wouldn't bump into any 7' point guards down there.

Bottom line, Crew is gone, for now, and there's nothing that can be done about it. People need to move on and realise NBA 2K13 offers dozens of game modes outside of your beloved Crew, either play them or don't buy the game....

At least they told mugs before it came out but I'm sure people will still complain but I know it won't be like Madden. Midnight buy for me. Crew mode is not the heart and soul for 2k basketball.

I've come up with an idea of how people can play crew! It is still possible. Bear with me though it's a bit complicated. *You need to buy the NBA 2k13 Dynasty Edition for this method to work*

Ok what you do;

Take the basketball that comes with the NBA 2k13 Dynasty Edition.

Call 4 of your closest friends.

Meet up at a local basketball court.

Find people on the court willing to play some 5 on 5, or call up more friends.

Voila!

The good thing about this method is, I can gurantee there will be no hackers! Perfect!

First, your "every game has cheats" argument is flimsy at best. So what? Using an exploit is one thing. Straight up hacking a player to a point where they completely BREAK the game and laws of reality is quite another. Knowing you worked to build your player only to get tooled by someone that completely circumvented that process ILLEGALLY (yes, read your end users license agreement) goes far beyond being annoyed. And you know this. Are you arguing just to get attention?

As for "we said it should be fixed this way", don't flatter yourself. That fix requires an investment that should have never been necessary. So don't act as if a top developer didn't know how to fix it. They just didn't know they needed to go that route. If it was PS3 only, we wouldn't be having this discussion, would we?

Are hackers annoying? Yes, but my crew for the most part could beat the hackers. Most the hackers sucked at 2k11 anyways so if you had a good defensive team and ran a good offense you could easily win. What makes me mad is they shut down the crew servers in 2k11 eventhough they left it out again.

I did a video about it yesterday, and after talking to some more people, I see both sides of it. I'm a crew-head myself but enjoy the other modes enough that it isn't THE END for me, however I'm okay with at least having blacktop mode this year, compared to nothing last year. It's a step in the right direction, but I do definitely want crew back ASAP. Looking forward to the game either way and can't wait to drop videos at like 12:30, haha. My brother and I are really excited.
