Maybe not, but that don't mean crew was all full of fun and excitement either. Even if you didn't run into guys with they're 7'0 ft 99 overall players in every match you played, you definitely ran into the black hole ball hogs that make Kobe look like 2011 Finals LeBron in at least every other matchup, if not every single one. If you're going to set the record straight, make sure you're doing it both ways.

Ball hog on yer team or the opponent? If he's on your team , that's the beauty of crew is you could boot him or leave and go create your own team and recruit your own friends or dudes in pickup who had some skill. It def. had it's problems tho for sure. cheaters, servers, and 5on5 games were rare cuz someone would always get booted or cuz of lag. Just sayin if we're all having this same conversation about will it / won't it be in 2K14 it will just be annoying. At the same time, Ima by the game for xbox instead of PC since it it has blacktop mode and a reason to play my player again.

I always figured that it was high school and college aged dudes that played this mode the most, so I would assume that most of those guys are in class right now. When I get back home from work this evening I expect this thread to be 20 plus pages, unless people get out of control and it gets locked.

exactly! that's what i was saying yesterday. they don't care... crew is their secret weapon. without competition it probably won't return. half of us will probably be dead by the time it does. thanks 2k

yea, but things like controlled bounce passes, and dream team are so minor compared to a huge mode on 2k. besides, i feel like my guy made the bounce passes when he should make em. dream team? you can already use all those guys anyway. i don't care about it. it just blows my mind that they'd swap out crew for ultimate team. i'm not 7 anymore, i don't trade cards.

I am MAD as F! CREW is not in the game. I love 2k and im going to get it regardless but this is a huge letdown.. Voted #2 after my player. They see the demand is extremely high. why not put it in the game. If 2k wanted to make the best bball game ever why would crew not be included over the new additions of My Team & the Kinect feature. They should focus on the modes that players want from previous games before adding in new 1s just to make money. And im sorry but CREW over Pick up games all day!

So what's the point of playing Mycareer mode if i can show anyone what destruction my player can do online vs other people?? blacktop is the worst online mode unless it could be done similar to private quick matches or if you could invite your friends. Most blacktop games are a waste of time, you have people who join with there 50 rated player and don't know what their doing, there are people who join who just aggravate you and dont pass the ball, the connection drops the whole game sonetimes, players get dropped at random, people leave the game if their not getting the ball, you have the odd time where certain people get their friends on the team and will play a 2 man game with them selves, you have that douchebag who plays his music to loud or that little 12 year old who is always screaming for the ball, you get that guy whos angry and will shoot the ball from anywhere, you get the midget who thinks he's ai and dribbles constantly then throws you that aric alley oop pass, you get the Mr. Ithink i can dunk every thing...etc at least with crew mode even though you know theres people who hack you can back out and try and find another team to play and your playing with your friends or users you have found online to play a more fun team style game with the players you built, people keep mentioning hackers, but the reality is we know what we're getting into when we play a crew game. but atleast you could use your player in a better team up setting. heck sometimes i enjoyed battling the hackers lol. Maybe it would have been a good idea if as part of the endorsements in Mycareer mode for them to get u to earn your "Mycareer Trading card" where you could import your my player into myTeam mode but could not trade his card???? at least then you could use your myplayer in an organised manner online. Other then that to me i don't think ill play countless hours on my player this year i just dont see a point, ill just stick to playing online association, virgin gaming (given it's still there) and an online association i've been in since 2k8. And hopefully MyTeam mode fairs well with 2k13, we'll just have to see

I m actually glad its gone. I was kinda hoping the all these modes that have nothing to do with sim basketball experience would be packaged in a dlc that you could buy at your discretion. I havent played myplayer since it was first introduced and wasnt drawn to it as much. I personally would rather all the man hours be put into the sim basketball side of 2k, and secondly online and online play working the way it should. Thats just me so def not a deal breaker for me. Or anyone else I know for that matter. cant wait for 2nd!

I think one or two things will happen.

1) They will make minimal changes to 2k14, and add crew

or

2) They will just wait until they have serious competition again to bring crew back.

2k is dominating sales right now. Sadly, this means they can afford to hold back a little...

Well the only reason I liked Crew was to do like someone else said, show off my My Player and I played with in the rules (6'5" defensive Shooting Guard) and I dominated but I would rather them get it right instead of throwing it out there because people are demanding it. To be honest they should do like most games do and just put restrictions on what you can do online. I you want your My Player character to be a 7'0" PG offline then cool but when you try to take him online he isn't allowed. The funny thing is people that did or had all 99's would still lose because they didn't know how to play the game. So I say bring it back put restrictions on the mode and if they try to exploit the mode let them get embarressed because obviously if you have to cheat to win you will get exposed.

Sad day for us Crew Fans and those who haven't got to experience what we were fussing about but even tho it's not what I wanna hear, I'm satisfied with 2K finally responding to that. Crew fans we gotta accept this no matter what, the reason we'll never know but nothing will change at this point.
