2K, Da_Czar loves your games, is a great teacher, and a fan favorite.
Give him an early copy and let him make some videos. The fan base is hungry for some Czar knowledge.

I'm sure the man has QUITE a few connections within the company to get an early copy if they are available...

Fair enough. But that's what I don't get about OS. Y'all pour so much love to 2k only for them to deny access to this community.

Agreed that it could be MUCH more than it is, but from where I'm sitting, access isn't denied to OS. But Steve would know more than I would. I'm sure it would be MUCH more open, but I don't think there is any slight to OS.

I gotcha. Maybe I'm just starved to see/play the game, you know? I want to preorder but disappointments from last year will not allow me to as of today, I need to see more.

Hope the gameplay vid today is awesome.

This saddens me that we wont get anything from the Czar regarding 2k13 before launch. I became a fan of his videos around the days of 2k9 and his knockout series between live and 2k. I remember him putting out alot of fires early last year when the developers were nowhere to be found with defensive problems etc.

He gave perspective and insight to the simulation side of 2k and he has an audience. I just hope that he continues to move the community in the right direction as far as sim strategies, team playstyles etc. with releasing vids when the game does drop.

I dont think it is all 2k's fault. I think the marketing plan in general has been shaky. We have not had a presentation or playbook insight but 2k states that they made improvements. I can hope they give him an early copy and he can break it down for us since 2k has not yet.

Yeah the Video Insights sounded cool, but it took away from all the little details. The written insights, in the past were way more detailed and there were more of them. I know online insight is coming, but how about Presentation, Association, Legends, Playbooks, and controls? Along with Da Czar videos and Mo's Trailers for most insights. We had more info tossed at us before this year. Where's the commercials? I feel marketing short changed us a little.

Maybe da_czar doesn't even want to do another video series or just doesn't have enough time to spare ?
I must take some hours to get even one video done in quality, let alone a whole series of them.

As previously stated in the thread: he will probably do strategy sessions after the game is out. It's just that he doesn't have access to the game before launch like last year.

Agreed.

I think we can all agree that the last 2KNBA games have had a steep learning curve for those that wanted to become a better then average player. Controls, defensive strategy, which plays worked well for specific players, etc. Training camp and practice helped, but I still felt that I wasn't quite doing as well as I should have. Da_Czar's videos helped me grasp the x factor that I was searching for and pushed my game to a higher level. Think of the subject you have the hardest time with in school, sometimes learning from a different perspective can help you acquire the know-how in that particular subject.
I'm not taking anything away from the other guys, but you can tell the love and passion Da_Czar has for basketball in his videos. Their fun, very informative, and almost always worth watching multiple times to learn everything that he is teaching.

It all comes down to exclusives, Da_Czar had one and bigger companies that have been supportive to 2k did not like it, it suck but those are the facts.

Why would big companies not like what Czar was doing for the sim community? Isn't 2K simulation basketball? Czar explains/teaches everything 2K oddly and simply refuses to show us every year.

Hopefully Czar has free time after release to put out something for us, it would be greatly appreciated. Synergy Sports, Da_Czar's videos, Momentous trailers and insights usually get me hyped up for the new 2K release just isn't the same this year.

Maybe they actually have not much to show in terms of new/improved gameplay. And Da_Czar is critical and honest in his reviews and mainly concentrates on the gameplay and simulation aspect.
So not wanting him to release any info too is somewhat telling, I think.

You also seem to forget that 2K invited a few very well known youtubers and OS's members to play and review the game early. Doesn't really compute with a company that has 'something to hide'.

Look at the post above and tell me how this makes sense. You've gotten trailers and VIDEO insights. How much video is enough for you? Not to mention there's a video coming out today! Where's all this HIDING!? Gamecon has TONS of videos out of gameplay and they are still up - unlike the other "leaked" footage from games. So, if they are hiding something, they are sure during the WORST job of hiding I've ever seen.

It's not about the fact about showing the game off in videos, cause I'm still going to purchase 2K games regardless. Also there is plenty videos of the game out, I'm just concerned about the Da_Czars videos.

Czars videos are very informative, it's a teaching tool and just flat out entertaining. The sim community has grown to support and look forward to Czar's videos. One of the posters made a post above about how the Czar is straight up and tells the truth about flaws in the game regarding to the sim aspect in his videos. I thought that was good point, but then again there is some footage out so if there was a flaw worth keeping as a "secret" by 2K we would of seen by now(and we have seen some flaws).
