i don't understand why they put the '01 76ers if there's no team to match em up with .. in 2k12 , most teams had matchups like the Sac Kings and the '98 lakers ( even though thats not the correct matchup lol ) and Run-Tmc had many '91 teams to choose from ..

i think you can use Lakers 98 vs Sixers 01 it's nearly the same roster!!
you have just to forget some player who are not in the game or trade on or 2 guys!!

But this is the only new classic game.

When i learnt that Dream team will be in NBA 2k13, i believed that Croatia 92 will be in the game.

But what i don't understand why they didn't put off old classic team like 60's, 70's 80's teams to let place to other teams like 93 sonics, 96 Magic, 01 Raptors, 01 Lakers, legend ASW, 93 Suns, 98 Pacers, 97 Hawks, 96 Knicks, 92 Jazz ... the list is very long, but the new pleasure could have been huge!!!

i think you can use Lakers 98 vs Sixers 01 it's nearly the same roster!!
you have just to forget some player who are not in the game or trade on or 2 guys!!

As small as a detail as it may be, the 1998 Lakers still use the old Lakers jerseys and their home court is not in the Staples Center. The roster itself is actually vastly different than their '01 version (Eddie Jones, Nick Van Exel). That said, I still have faith folks will be able to edit teams well enough to re-create an '01 Lakers squad soon enough.

Also, I do not support the removal of 60's and 70's teams in favor of newer classic squads. If nothing else, I'd prefer the older teams and some newer teams. I'd support the removal of "Team Jordan" (roster of Jordan Brand reps) or any of the developer teams before warming to the idea of losing the 60's and 70's teams. Those older squads are great.

I love being able to use the very classic teams. Only downside is they didnt give us enough of them. We didnt get a classic pre Laker Wilt team from when he was just a beast. We didnt get an Oscar Royals team from when he was the best guard in the league. I think they should of based the classic teams off of each guys prime. Guys like Wilt, Oscar didnt get a prime era team both were twilight based teams were they werent the key guy West was the key guy on them Laker teams while a young Kareem was the key on the Bucks. 2K needs to consider this for future games. Also to just bring it up to correct the Dream Team models to reflect their 1992 versions so we dont have Bird playing like a star while he should be coming off of the bench adding valuable minutes off of the bench.

yes but there are in NBA 2k12, i think it's all-sufficient, when i learnt last year that all those 60's and 70's teams will be in 2k12, i thought it's a good thing to learn to young people who was Jabbar, or Robertson, or Tchamberlain, Russel etc .... but what everybody prefere is 90's teams, because it was on the earth aznd everybody in the world could see them, in 1992, in 1993, in 1994 ... 1998

I would like more Classic teams but it doesn't affect me (and most other IMO) buying the game. I've learned to accept what they give us, which is a lot if you really think about it,and enjoy what we do get. Not to mention their is always more classic teams via 2k share that are almost as good as what 2k gives us.

That's my issue. When I use a classic team for a season I like to tweak the roster. I don't add any big current players but maybe a bench player or two. Last yr I used the 95 Knicks. I hated having Charles Smith at sf. He didn't fit the position. I traded him & added Travis Outlaw. Not a huge move but a nice sf to have. I hope the rosters aren't set in stone!!

They confirmed in the Conference Call last week that all the 2K12 Classic Teams would be back as well as the 01 Sixers. I dont think they will add any more teams. If so they would of been announced months back.

I don't think its fair to say that all the classic teams will be back. After all, based on the latest ratings video, Dr. Jay, Chris Webber and Kareem Abdul Jabbar are missing which severely taints at least three of the classic teams. There is no Eric Snow on the 76ers either, which makes them feel incomplete. Legends were an afterthought this year.

How do they lose legends? Makes absolutely no sense to me. Seems like it would be easy to retain their rights.

Well I guess its up to the legend if he wants to be in the game again and accept the pay 2k is offering for their likeness. Scottie almost wasn't in either which would have ruined the classic Bulls teams. He signed late after fans I guess begged him to. No Kareem sucks for the classic Bucks and Laker teams. Kings without Webber? Why even bother same with Dr. J. Not a huge deal but unfortunate. I do wish they would have put in the 2001 Lakers to go with 2001 Sixers and would have had at least all the key players from both teams.

I sure that workaround will still work. But it's not really answer to the problem, especially if it works like 2k12. Meaning when you used the workaround to get the players on the rosters they took up CAP slots, making it virtually impossible to make full 12 man rosters.

Of course this only applies to PS3, as I'm sure 360 users will be able to add them with hex edits.

Anyone confirm that Dr. J or Kareem are not in the game? If so, definitely a NO-buy for me. I'm from the old school 80's era and playing classic teams online with my old buddies is what we were looking forward to. If those stars aren't in the game there is no point in playing with those teams.

Anyone have a link that states those players are not in the game?

He goes through the classic teams fast so you'll have to pause the video, but you can see that Dr. J, Kareem, and Webber are all missing off their teams roster(s).
