Hearing the news about the missing legends really sucks. Will anyone be able to upload info for those 3 players ( in particular Chris Webber) that includes their exact ratings from 2k12 so that way we can atleast create players with those exact same playing styles, or even better if we get those faces through hex edit we can replicate the players exactly as they were in 2k12.

I'm not buying that they're not in the game. I saw the video, and true they were not VISIBLE, but I just can't beleive 2k would bother putting the Kings and Sixers in the game without their main go to guy. I mean, what's the point? That's like having the 96 Bulls without MJ. Or The Lakers without Shaq and Kobe - there really is no point at all. If this is indeed the case, then why didn't 2k include teams which had FULL rosters instead of teams with KEY missing players.

I knew legends would take a back seat this year, they'll gradually get phased out, which is when i'll stop buying the game.

I think it'd be more a matter of 2K leaving those classic teams in the game as opposed to putting them there, if that makes sense. Perhaps they at least wanted to leave the door open for players to fill in the empty spots, since they still have the rights to many of the other players on those teams.

Wow I was at least going to try to run with Utah since Kareem isnt in but I didn't notice Bryan Russell isn't in either. Definitely going to wait and stay with 2k12 for a while longer.

It probably would be a better decision for 2k if they swapped the 98 lakers team for the 2001 team so we can replay that epic finals. I find it disheartening though that a couple of those legends from those classic teams were taken out. In addition to what it's read on the forum, it's also pretty displeasing to know that association hasn't changed since the year before. that is where i spend most of my time playing the game, building a dynasty. the lack of customization by 2k never ceases to amazes me. i want to be able to relocate my teams...have jerseys with a nickname in the MIDDLE of the jersey so it looks more authentic in create a team, and i want at least classic arenas and jerseys for most eras. that maybe a difficult aspect of the game to implement, but it cant be harder than some of the other requests many of the users on this forum have. if we could have an option to choose which arena to play in (implementing classic arenas/jerseys) I honestly could care less about the classic teams because then it would be easier to make ANY TEAM you wish. created players, i could deal with such rosters, but we should be able to use something similar to EA's gameface, then we could make it completely authentic. No kareem? no problem. use 2k's latest customization ability to put his photo face on a created player and go from there. no reggie miller? same deal. would love that. I promise you guys if i ever had a say in 2k, you'd get all of that. too bad reality sinks in and thats an impossibility. ):

This is getting stupid now. I'm slowly losing all enthusiasm for 2K13. Seeing as I don't play with current teams, and don't care for Jay - Z or the new shot stick controls, I was hoping we'd at least get ALL the legends back from 2k12. Now that seems to be wavering, just like my intent to buy this game. On console, at least.

PC is looking more and more like a winner with every day that passes.

That said, I shouldn't bitch first without at least giving the demo a run, see how that takes me, although the news of even more classic players being left out is troubling.

This might sound like I'm being hopelessly optimistic, but along with Erving and Webber, I actually think Russell is another relatively compatible player to create with create-a-player. His bald pate and goatee make it a little easier to blur that line between authentic and created. Also, again, we have all the ratings and signatures needed from 2K12, so that'll be a help.

Kareem: Really big blow seeing the 87 Laker team is one of my go to Classic Teams. Kareem was usually my go to man for some quick inside scoring and now we get a generic center instead.

Dr J: Sucks the Dr isnt is and makes the 77 and 85 Sixer teams pointless. The 85 team would of been fine if they could of got Barkley in a year ago which was the reason 2K chose that team rather than the better 83 Team.

Eric Snow: Not as much of a blow seeing he wasnt the star of his team but he was a name guy on the 01 Sixers. Also I have little interest to use this team besides Iverson.

Chris Webber: No reason for the 02 Kings to be used without Webber.

Orlando Woodrige: Meh I hardly use that 86 Bulls team.

Byron Russell: That sucks cos I love doing Bulls vs Jazz games and he was a big part of that Jazz unit.

Looks like im sticking with 2K12 for my legend needs and not 2K13 unless we get some killer classic rosters.

My observation concerning the absence of Orlando and Bryan Russell has to do with the video posted here in OS showing all ratings and classic teams in the game.
In the classic teams list, Orlando Woodridge was not one of the 6 best rated players from the 85 Bulls and neither Russell was listed as one of the top 6 best men in the Jazz squad.
The 85 Bulls, for example, shows, Jordan, Oakley, Macey, the Iceman and Woodridge is not among them.
The Jazz unit shows Malone, Hornacek, Stockton and a couple of 65 rated players and no Bryan Russell.
So, I`m assuming these guys are not in the game, just like people are assuming Jabbah is not in the Lakers, and so on.
This is really bad news.
It is impossible to understand why some features in a year are not part of the game in the next year. And this thing has to do with minor things too, like sweating and the ability to choose the number of fouls a player could get before being fouled out. That is important if you play, for example, a 6 min. quarter game. It was there in 2k11, but not in 2k12. WHY????????
2K gives with a hand and takes from us with the other.

I still think it was the lack of a signature dunk package that was the deal breaker for Dr. J. In all seriousness though, work arounds are extremely frustrating and glitchy. Name glitches and all kinds of issues tend to come up. I have mixed feelings about the glitches though...as frustrating as they can be, they are the very thing that have allowed us to move guys around (notably DLC guys) in the past.

I wasn't planing on buying this game after I found out that a cell phone gets a special mode for the legends when we don't on the xbox and ps3 they get extra classic teams even though most of them will be 2000s and not really classic but still better then what we get we don't even get fully what we got last year cus of all of the classics are missing

I'm moving to 2k12 on the PC. As i've said earlier, the legends will eventually get phased out. They were only an after thought for 2k13.

Ultimate base roster with over 250 teams, authentic retro courts and jerseys? Don't know why I didn't get the pc version earlier.
