Re: NBA 2K13 Demo Available Now For 360, Later Today For PS3, Impressions Here
Just from one quick go around:
1. I felt like I was unstoppable offensively (as Miami). I'm not sure I missed a shot in the first quarter. I was up 21-12 after one (against computer). I'm sure that's due to the difficulty.
2. Second play of the game, an inbound from just inside half-court, the computer passed it in to a streaking Kevin Durant, who subsequently ran backcourt with it and was whistled for a violation.
3. I did still see a wrong-handed layup (Shane Battier using his left hand in the worst situation possible) but instead of being armpit blocked (which would have been a certainty in 2K12) he was able to somehow get the shot off and finish.
4. The coaches seemed to look markedly better and their movements more realistic.
5. Solid body-to-body interactions inside
6. Of the few dunks, one of them was a two-hander off the right foot from Dwyane Wade. It sort of feels that handedness might not be as stressed early on, but it's very early.
7. Another thing I loved was LeBron James' rebound off a missed free throw. He snagged it and in one smooth, great looking motion, began exploding up court.Last edited by VDusen04; 09-25-2012, 07:39 AM.Comment

I have. Stole it with Bosh online just now.
PS. For the PS3 guys, Lebron doesn't have that fadeaway jumpshot anymore. Just a straight up one. Which personally I'm VERY happy about.Comment

Man I'm just loving the demo so far. 2k13 gameplay and all is reminding me a little 2k7 gameplay. I'm just loving the demo overall. Hate that the game speed is a little slow, but I can change that in the retail version. And also thank god the AI is finally not making every shot known to man now. Last year the AI made just about every shot even when your in it's face. Overall I would give the demo a 8.5 right now. Good job 2k.Comment

Lol where are the cheesers? I've played 3 games so far and all have been against decent players. Online works pretty well as I was playing Americans without any lag. I guess they where americans seeing their nicknames.Comment

Im loving this game. Played about 5 times offline, the controls are responsive and the gameplay is so smooth. The body contact makes a world of difference. I have to get used to the LT shot modifier but that isnt a bad thing bc 2k needed something to freshen it up.
Its hard to stay in front of westbrook but not in a cheesy way. Everything i saw looked very organic.
Man i cant wait until next week. Between 2k13 NHL 13 and AC 3 i might be lost until after xmas hahaComment

I hate the new passing. I keep accidentally fake passing. Game feels heavier and momentum seems to matter more. Not sure how I feel about the new controls yet.
Love the CPU defense though. They are constantly shading you to one direction, applying pressure and trapping.Comment

TBH, they have cheeseproofed the game a little bit. There arent as many horrific animations to exploit anymore.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Demo Available Now For 360, Later Today For PS3, Impressions Here
Quick question. Im having trouble exploding out of my dribble moves and going to the rim. It seems like i always do a crossover stop crossback over stop then drive. I guess its my timing. Do i put all then input in at the same time? For example RS left then right or do i have to go RS left wait for ball to get to players hand then go RS right?Comment

Online is where it's at this year.
But I see that when one player make changes (Well the guy was looking at the controls in this case) the other one still has to wait doing nothing. Come on 2K it's 2012.Comment
