Re: NBA 2K13 - Signature Skills for Every Player

    Some Kentucky players..

    Anthony Davis - Eraser
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - Finisher, Scrapper.. Wouldn't give him lockdown defender yet
Doron Lamb - Spot Up Shooter, Corner Specialist
Darius Miller - Spot Up Shooter
    Marquis Teague -
    Terrence Jones -
    Josh Harrellson - Hustle Points
    Brandon Knight -
    DeAndre Liggins -
John Wall - Acrobat, Finisher, Dimer, Interceptor
DeMarcus Cousins - Break Starter, Bruiser, Charge Card, Post Playmaker (excellent passer out of the post much like Shaq was.. Google Demarcus cousins passing for a 3 part video of nothing but his assists), Pick Pocket (1.4 SPG that mostly occurred right after an opponent's defensive rebound.. Would catch them looking to pass and would poke it out instead of getting back on D)
    Patrick Patterson -
    Eric Bledsoe -
    Daniel Orton -

I think I've seen the downfall of Vince Carter, no Sig Skills at all is shocking. Then we have the Magic, Mavericks, and the Bobcats lookin Dead with barely anyone with Sig skills. Overall I think every team has the correct skills for the type of team they are except for some stars like Wade, Lebron and Melo

Man, how does CP3 not have Closer? Get rid of that Ankle breaker and hook him up with Closer.. Possibly switch alley ooper (even though he's one of the best oop throwers in the league) for shot creator too..

Agree with everyone who says to switch D Wade's Deadeye to Finisher..

LeBron needs floor general but I don't know what you give up for him..

I think prime Vince Carter would have been chock full of signature skills. However, I'm not sure I could justify last year's Vince having ones such as Highlight Reel or Posterizer. I know he had between 10-15 nasty dunks last year, but 1) they weren't all monster facials and 2) none were windmills or 360's. Adding another year to his age now, I think that makes it tough to say he should have signature skills that provide a boost in his likelihood to jam in people's faces or busting off showy dunks.

That said, I still think he should have a signature dunk package, leading the way with this type of flush:

                <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/hQehhPfVzlM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Ideally, 36 year old video game Vince would dunk normally most of the time and every now and again, pull off a jam like the one above.

While he has made a defender or two fall in the past, he heavily favors his right hand on drives and doesn't usually go left. (Although, maybe you dont have to be good with both hands to be an ankle breaker) Other than that, I think everyone is has fair skills. Compared to some of the other teams, I think the kings skills seem fair.

Cant wait to get started playing with them.

I have some gripes with the distribution of sig skills for my sixers.

                    1) Why does Jrue not have lockdown defender?

This is a quote from Synergy Sports who handle advanced statistal data about the NBA.

Holiday has given a solid effort on defense this season. In terms of points-per-possession allowed, he is one of the top-50 defensive players in the NBA, according to Synergy Sports.

2)Nick Young should have the acrobat sig skill

One might ask why, well here's your proof.

                    Enuff said.

                    3) The last thing is that Thad should have the hustle poins or scrapper sig skill because anybody that watches the sixers knows alot of Thad's points come from offensive rebounds and hustle plays.

Turner may deserve one skill, like Ankle breaker, break starter or finisher

This is the problem with the perception of Signature Skills that I've mentioned in several threads. If Holiday is one of the top 50 defensive players in the NBA, why does he deserve something that was only given to 14 guys?

A "solid effort" on defense does not mean he should neutralize the offensive skills of his matchup.
