Jordan shouldnt have worn Converse Pro Leather because Dr J. endorsed them.....where is your competitveness!

Michael Finley, Q Rich, Richard Hamilton, Mike Bibby, and Ray Allen should have never signed to Team Jordan since he played for the Wizards.....how could they!

lol my man it's just a basketball shoe, there is no competitiveness in the shoe game. Alot of guys wear KDs, Lebrons, etc. It may be they like the comfort of that shoe, or they just like the style. I know Eric Bledsoe's nickname on the Clippers is mini Lebron for 1 because he's athletic as hell ,but mainly because last year he wore Lebron 9s and is wearing the 10s this year. What are guys supposed to do? Wear generic team Hyperdunks or Hyperfuse?

These sneakers are worn for performance. Many of the superstars are given the best tech in the game. I dont agree that you shouldnt wear good shoes because the brand or signature has an opponents name on them.

These sneakers are worn for performance. Many of the superstars are given the best tech in the game. I dont agree that you shouldnt wear good shoes because the brand or signature has an opponents name on them.

I could be wrong as I haven't been there for any shoe deal contract signings, but my info from nike and adidas reps and execs, that have been in some meetings is that players like kobe lebron and Durant, melo/d rose/ Iverson in his nba days, for that matter have to promote their own shoes, because their under contract to do so, when it comes to playing on the floor,

They can wear anything by their respective brands as well but there is a percentage of their signature shoe that has to be promoted, because the shoe is made specifically for them, Besides the logistics of nike/jordan/adidas/rbk making a profit from the promotion of said athlete showcasing it in game.

They are free to wear pay less sneaks. Off the court if they choose but fundamentally they won't, like you would never see MJ in nikes even though nike owns Jordan Brand, he's free to promote his brand under nike as he sees fit, its all about the brand they are trying to establish like lebron with his line and the soldier, he wants that sneaker line to be like Jordan's one day same with kobe rose etc, they are the elite athletes and mj is the standard, he still owns the sneaker game.

As far as non superstars that just have brand specific deals with no signature line like you see in 2k they who are under contract can not wear any other brand but can wear anything that brand has to offer like the latest lebron Kobes d rose or what ever to promote said shoe.

JORDAN when in the league only gave a chosen few access to wear his shoe on the court Reggie was one of them besides his brand athletes, but could not wear them before he did as he was his own brands ambassador, same happens today with lebron and Kobe they wear it first then it's free to be worn by anybody else.

Then there are those who can wear what ever shoe they want like Demar derozan/ nate Robinson Monte Ellis etc who has no shoe deal but rock the latest at will.

I'm a shoe head and 8.5 year footlocker store manager I have had conversations with plenty of reps and execs that's the credibility I can offer to your discussion

Kobe went throught the 02-03 season wearing what ever he wanted due to his adidas deal being broken.
He split from adidas early but couldnt sign with anyone else and couldnt wear any one brand for three games consecutively fir a whole season. So he had to switch up.

He then signed with Nike in 04.
