I was thinking the same thing when they announced the shoe creator. No way would they let you create and buy custom foams and retro Jordans in unheard of colorways. If they did that, then the shoes would be incredibly expensive. Because shoe companies, especially Nike and Jordan, know supply creates demand. Allowing the consumer to go and create their favorite DS Nikes and Jordans would decrease the value and demand for those sneakers. Especially when they're re-released. Nike believes sneakerheads or their hardcore consumers want shoes that are rare. Nike believes sneakerheads or their hardcore consumers don't want a shoe that the average consumer can just go to a website, create, and buy. That's why when a new retro Jordan or foams drops, they're always going to put a $160 and up price tag on them, and they are release in limited quantity. That way, not just everyone could go out and buy them and because only a select number of shoes are made and released, that limited supply creates demand.

Base - Flywire 1 - Team Color
Logo - External Mid - 1st TC

There's one problem, though. The game forces us to put the logos above all the layers, so they don't look that great. They look good ingame. Here's a sample:

Man, I am so impressed with some of the Shoes posted here. I tried creating some and they looked OK but some of you guys have a real talent for this. Well Done!!

It kinda saddens me that we can't post shoes on 2KShare yet (unless I'm wrong when I'm writing this, still haven't gotten mine), hopefully the first patch will fix that, along with having more than one MyPlayer/Career to load online and the other things like auto save....

Ok guys Im lost, I thought the insight video said if u create a Nike ID or a nike shoe u can have it made and buy it...after they give you the email for it.

Yea but when you assign the shoe to Kobe it shows up as a LeBron shoe an different colors.. Nike ID bug I guess

I believe it only applies to specified pairs included in 2K13. I think it's going to boil down to essentially selecting your own colorways on basketball shoes being released this season.

Anyone having a problem placing logos. If I choose a logo for the inside of the shoe, I can't put one on the
outside

You suppose to be able to, just through Nike ID. It sound like the nike ID website and 2k have linked up so if you create a shoe in 2k, through Nike ID, you can buy the shoe you made on Nike ID. I don't know if the system is up and running, but that is how it's suppose to work. So more than likely, the Basketball shoes you can create in 2k13 through Nike ID, you will be able to create and buy on the Nike ID website. And some shoes you already can design on the Nike ID website.

Me personally, if I'm going to buy shoes through Nike ID, I would rather go on the website. Because altleast on the website, the shoes are life like, and you can really get a fell on how the shoes are going to look in real life. Unlike with 2k13, where the shoes you created thought Nike ID and uploaded to order, may look totally different in real life, when compared to a video game shoe model.

I didn't see an answer for you so I will answer for you. All addidas, UA, and reebok shoes can be edited. I believe all Jordans can be except for the ID one. Most of the nike ones are. The ones that are not are the ones they added in updates last year.
