Thanks, this is very useful... i have one question... does the primary/secondary work with shoes already in the game?... i tried it with my player on the pistons with some foams, but it wasn't changing colors in game...

I tested every team and different shoes, ones that are new in the game
this year and ones that were there last year, in many different ways.
they all work, except in my player, I heard from another thread.
I haven't started a myplayer yet as I need someone to upload an online data file so I can access the gear

maybe it's something they'll fix with a patch sooner or later.

If you guys use the chart can you let me know if there are any changes I
need to make or if there's something I need to add. I hope it makes
things a little clearer for everyone, why they made this so difficult is beyond me...

and can anyone hook me up with an online data file?

LoL, it doesn't work like that, the sneaker makers are not going to make a shoe that you created, I believe it only applies to the nikeID.

That chart that was posted is a useful starters guide but some of the colors are wrong. I also want to state that those normal rules do not apply to all shoes. Some shoes don't give you the options to the entire color selections. Also a couple of shoes have the teams natural secondary color as an option.

To expand on that two shoes I know off the top of my head that doesn't give you all the color options are the Sharkleys and the 2K4's. They both give you the same limited color options from when they was on the Nike ID thing last year. So there is no way to make either one of those shoes change for home and away.

To elaborate on the other part of what I said there are a couple of shoes that have the teams natural secondary color on them when you go to edit. The two I have seen so far are the Nike Hyperdunk 2012 and the Reebok kamikaze. When you click on edit the the shoe you will notice that both shoes are red, white, and blue. The blue is the team color one, the red is the teams natural second color, and the white acts as the team color two option on the other shoes. So for a team like the Hornets(one of the teams I tested this on) the red part is yellow for the shoe both home and away. The very important thing to remember for this is if you want that secondary to stay on the shoe you CAN NOT change the red on edit shoe. Once you take it off you can't get it back without exiting and starting over.

There is one other shoe that acts differently that I found so far. It is the under armour spine urbine. It still has the team color one and two rules we talked about earlier in the week but the colors on the edit screen aren't the same. Instead of the team color 1 being blue like the other shoes it is the red you see when you first bring up the shoe. On this shoe however you can get that red back if you change it. It is in the same spot where the blue team color one slot is for the other shoes.

I will post more when I find it and hopefully some pics tomorrow to shoe some of this stuff for those that want to see it. Hopefully this is helpful for some of you guys.
