Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Just had the biggest cheese game of my career. The refs were calling fouls on me even when I didn't do anything, so I sat most of the game. When I did play, Danny Granger didn't miss, but I still managed to get the team back to force OT. Then, in OT, we went 0-13, and they went 12-13 with six threes, all contested. There was nothing we could do to stop them. It was a very helpless feeling. A massive disappointment.EPL - Arsenal

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
So I made a PF to go along with my PG. Wanted to make him like Amar'e before the injuries where he was explosive. I gave him an upgrade on mid range shot so that I can pose a threat from Pick and Pop's like Amar'e can do now.
Drafted 6th to Portland playing with Lillard and Aldridge is fun. 3 games in we are 1-2 but I think we can push for the playoff's. I'm averaging 14 pts and 10 rebs in just under 20 mins a game. Maybe Me and Aldridge can become the Twin Towers 2.0.Bulls | Cubs l BlackhawksComment

How do you get certain NBA players to follow you on Twitter? It seems like after you beat a certain team one of the star players will follow you and the others won't. Do you need a certain popularity to get certain stars to follow you? Why do your own teammates not follow you on Twitter? If anyone should follow you, it should be them.Comment

And does increasing the quickness stat make your first step faster? I my 6'9 SF is so slow and Speed is so expensive for each point.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I already posted this but it said it had to be approved by a moderated so sorry if it's posted twice. But I made a SF and he's unstoppable behind the arc but I want him to be good at driving the lane and finishing. I got Lay Up and shot in traffic up. But was wondering what's better for lay ups, Shot Inside or Shot close. If anyone know's the difference between shot inside and shot close that would be cool because the seem like the same thing....Comment

Just lost by one to the Heat. Dwayne Wade had three put back dunks at the end of the game. It was just stupid.EPL - Arsenal

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I play C and I found that at the end of games, as in less then 15 seconds left) when we are down by 3 my team (Hawks) fail to shoot 3s but instead drive it to the basket (wtf!). I want to call some plays to shoot 3s. Which plays should I choose?Check out www.fieldgulls.com if you are a Seahawks fan.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I'm on my 3rd MyCAREER now after I got bored with my first MC PG and my next career, a PF, froze on me and I was unable to progress.
I'm a 6'8" 225lbs Athletic SF that got drafted by the Celtics. I did pretty good in the showcase, but bombed every interview to see how far I fell. I was happy I got drafted by the Celtics as I'm a KU fan and like Pierce, figuring they'd slide me in at SG later in the season in place of Avery Bradley.
However, that didn't happen. After about 10 games or so they started me...... over Paul Pierce. This, of course, made Paul quite mad and he demanded a trade. He apparently made everyone else on the team mad too, because every single player but myself was either -1 down to -10 overall due to being upset with something.
Anyway, we lost quite a few in a row and about 40% of the way through the season I told the GM I was tired of losing and he gave me the "Pick 5 players" routine. I picked 4 guys who I don't remember who they were (this happened a good month and a half ago) along with Kenneth Faried because we needed a rebounding force inside. Low and behold, they traded for Faried. However, they dealt Paul Pierce and Jared Sullinger for him. I didn't care about losing Sullinger as we have about 6 PFs on the roster, but dealing Pierce meant I was basically the only real scoring threat remaining, unless you consider KG and his 15 foot jumpers a threat.
We somehow scratched out the 3 seed in the West thanks to an amazing winning streak to end the season, but lost in the 2nd round to the Knicks. I hate playing the Knicks as I have to guard Melo every stinking game. I ended up winning the ROY and was 2nd team All-NBA. Not bad really. My stats were roughly 20/5/5.
Fast forward to the 2nd season and our starting lineup is exactly the same as the previous season: Rondo/Bradley/Me/Faried/KG. Nobody is happy and Jeff Green and another guy are both -10 overall on the bench. Might have to do with us having about 7 PFs on the team, as the Celtics brass drafted TWO PF/C guys this past season. Bradley thinks he's Lebron and drives to the hoop whenever he touches the ball. Rondo drives to the hoop and bricks every shot, then bricks his FTs. KG is old and the only thing he can do is shoot from 15 feet out. Faried is ok, but he's only good within about 6 feet really but he's money on offensive boards and putback dunks. /endrant
Not surprisingly, we started out slow and I went to the GM and said I was tired of losing...... again. Same old song and dance about 5 guys and I asked for a bunch of SGs to replace Bradley as well as Chris Paul, to hopefully get rid of Rondo (doubt that'll happen), so we'll see what happens as the trade hasn't happened yet.
By the way, I hate playing with Rondo. He's a ball hog and can't shoot whatsoever.
I'm going to play the next month or so this season in a trial mode and hopefully the GM will bring in a SG who can actually shoot to help us out. If not, maybe I'll demand a trade somewhere before the AS break and see what happens.
I'm having quite a bit of fun regardless of the trials and tribulations my team and guy are going through. I'm dunking on fools left and right and draining 3's like Craig Hodges.
Oh, and my nickname is 'Shake n Bake', so I get a good laugh about that whenever Harlan says it.Last edited by BA2929; 04-04-2013, 10:24 PM."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Funnest?? I modeled my player off of Lebron. Big and strong who can drive the lane and score. Depends on how you like to play I guess. I used to really like watching Steve Nash when he was with Phoenix and if the passing in this game didn't suck so much, I would make a player like him.EPL - Arsenal

Just run a search for this answer. It's been posted/talked about before. You have to get certain milestones for them to follow you (like 71 vs the spurs for David Robinson etc). Too many for me to remember, and I don't care about the social media aspect of the game anywayComment
