Eastern Conference Semifinals: Orlando Cruises to 104-93 Victory, Now One Win Away From Conference Finals

The Magic played like they were on a mission tonight. They stepped up in the post, outrebounding Detroit for the first time this series, and it made a huge difference. After falling behind early, Orlando has now won three straight, and is one win away from facing Miami/Charlotte in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Oh yeah btw: I updatet my "half a season's over - update" post. All the signings are now in there. Surprisingly Oklahoma decided to give Martin a new contract on the 2nd of December to trade him for Boozer and a '13 1st Round pick on trade deadline

So I'm in the Playoffs in my Association(up 1 in the Conference Finals, will start posting season review and stuff soon). but I'm also really going to try to get KD in FA, probalem is I still have trouble grasping the finance aspect of the game at times. At the moment, I'm $1.84M over the Salary Cap, with $33.59M left 'til I hit the Hard Cap. For next season I'll have $17.48M in Cap Room(planning on clearing $2.51M and $2.34M before FA) with $54.15M in Hard Cap Room, Kyrie Irving and Iman Shumpert are the biggest names coming off my books and I only plan to re-sign Shumpert.
Would I be able to sign Durant and go slightly over the Salary Cap without his Bird Rights, and if I signed Shumpert first would I then be able to sign KD(would Shump's Bird Rights kick in then or not?
Sorry this is so long, and sorry if it's not understandable, I'd really like hlp with this

Eastern Conference Semifinals: Orlando Rolls to Eastern Conference Finals, Beating Detroit 106-97 in Game 5

The Orlando Magic were in control the entire team. They had their share of critics following a Game 1 loss to Detroit, but they rattled off four straight wins to eliminate the Pistons and advance one step closer to the NBA Finals. While the Western Conference Finals is set, Orlando will wait to see the winner of the Miami vs. Charlotte series, which is tied at two games apiece.

JR Smith is even more fun to play than Harden.

He was bad in the first half. Only 2 points and 5 fouls. He came back in the mid-3rd and turned the game around. Brought us back out of a 14 point hole and ended up in OT. His 3 point shot to put us in OT was phenomenal. 0.8 seconds to go. I throw it to him at the top of the arc and immediately hit square hoping for the best. He swished a deep 3 with a hook shot. I had to do the same at the end of OT but I was more towards half court and he missed. We lost 117-114.

Not bad for a noob playing on All-Pro I'd say. I wish I could share that 3 point shot with you guys but there's no replay share feature like in Madden.

JR Smith had 46 points.
Anthony Davis had 22 points and 18 rebounds.

Jefferson being shopped?

Al Jefferson, the skilled big man in Utah, is reportedly on the trade block. Jefferson signed a 4 year $55.60M contract in the offseason with the Jazz, and it appears that the Jazz are looking to move him. This is most likely to get young stud Enes Kanter in the starting lineup, as he's been overachieving to begin the year.

4 games into the season, Jefferson is averaging 17.5 PPG, 9.5 RPG, and is shooting 65.1% from the field.

The beginning of the 2013-2014 NBA season has been a wild one for the Jazz, as they have already undergone trade rumors, competition between teammates for the starting lineup, and some pretty close, back-and-forth games.

In the Jazz's season opener, they took on the fast-paced, uptempo Golden State Warriors. The Warriors dominated the boards and forced Utah to commit 14 turnovers on their way to a victory. Stephen Curry recorded 15 points and 10 assists, while Carl Landry came up big off the bench with a 20 point performance in 23 minutes.

For Utah, Gordon Hayward lead the way with 21 points off 8-15 shooting, including 3 three pointers. Derrick Favors recorded 3 blocks, and Al Jefferson finished with 16 points. However, the Jazz were too careless with the ball and it lead to their defeat.

Despite a 29 point, 11 assist performance from former Jazzman Deron Williams, the Jazz prevailed, as they picked up their first win of the season. The Jazz were outrebounded by 3, but shot the ball much better than the Nets, especially in the third quarter, where the Jazz outscored Brooklyn 33 to 21.

In Utah's first and only trip out of the country this year, the Jazz were unsuccessful, as they were defeated by the Toronto Raptors. Kyle Lowry was 2 rebounds shy of a triple-double, and his Raptors snuck past the Jazz, despite Utah having a rebounding advantage of 7. Scoring was tough to come by for the Jazz, as Gordon Hayward lead the Jazz with 16, but only 4 Jazz players total scored in double digits. Al Jefferson finished with a double-double, and Derrick Favors was 1 rebound shy of one as well.

In a snoozer, the Jazz pulled out the victory over the lowly Magic. Magic rookie and 1st overall pick Tyronn Wilson finished with 20 points and 5 assists, but it just wasn't enough to get the Magic over the hump against the Jazz, who struggled to shoot and get open looks. A 4th quarter outburst by rookie point guard Adam McCarty helped Utah pull away from Orlando, as he scored all of his 10 points in the 4th.

Derrick Rose dominated the Jazz defense, as he finished with 34 points and 10 assists in just his 6th game back from his ACL injury. The Bulls bench was on an offensive tear, as guys like Jimmy Butler and Carlos Boozer both pitched in 15 points, each. The Jazz had 6 players in double digits in scoring, but it just wasn't enough to get past these Bulls in this blowout loss.
