    Re: Offensive Rebounds a Problem?

I haven't looked at the simulated stats much, but in playing the games in association it definitely feels like it's easier to get offensive rebounds. Honestly though, it feels like a good thing, because it was such a huge flaw in 2k12. I play as the Nuggets so watching Manimal and JaVale getting offensive rebounds makes it that much more realistic for me.

I have started to see this even on pro difficulty. 13 to 3 advantage in 5 minute quarters. It got to the point where it was so predictable. I tried doing in the settings to crash boards but i think the cpu sliders must take a hit to prevent this dennis rodman effect from the cpu ai.

OK after 10-15 games I can see that offensive rebounds are a huge issue. it seems that there is one team that is predetermined to get a huge amount of offensive boards. When it's your team you win, and when it's not you lose.

I also believe that this is the problem. I'm loving this game out of all the NBA2Ks and I've played about 20-25 MyCareer games so far and every game both teams score 25-30 points in the 1st then by the end its always 110-120. I can't stand this..

in my myplayer, it gets kinda frustrating. for the parts of the game when youre on the bench and sim, the rebounding numbers look normal. for full games that i sim they're also generally normal. but for any period of time im in the actual game, practically half of others teams possessions resulted in a missed shot, followed by an offensive rebound and a put-back.

at one point when i got more playing time, in the fourth quarter, the info-box at the bottom said that the other team had 42 second-chance points, no joke. its frustrating. you play such good intense defense (im a point guard) so the player you are guarding misses the shot, only to have another player on their team get the offensive board and put it back in, even though your teammate had inside position, they just stand their looking clumsy and uncoordinated. and it reoccurs time and time again.

and as far as i know, their in nothing you can do about the sliders for myplayer?

same here, played 2 friendly matches with toronto and chicago, in the first my opponents(bobcats) got 11 OB vs 13 (me), in the second 8(utah) vs 13 (me), and that's ok since chicago was the best OffReb team last year. Then i starded an association with boston and in the first 2 games they destroyed me, the difference i've seen is that chicago is clearly more aggressive grabbing boards, boston simply not enough, i tried changing coach sliders in-game but with poor results. So i think it's a players mentality issue....and all starts from how you defend. I noticed that when i've been able to play e smart defence also my rebounding capacity raised up, i think that the real issue is to find a way to protect the paint efficiently, that prevent also the high number of PiP.
