Do you also notice once you get a player, the very next pack also gives you a player a high percentage of time; Im thinking maybe like 40%.

I definitely noticed. 40% sounds right. While it's not necessarily the most reliable pattern we've discovered so far, it certainly beats wasting $3,000 VC on a pack that in all odds will just net you a common scrub bronze player. This is a really great find. I just hope I can net one more big so that I can start playing the mode again. A team of both Mutumbos at the 4 and 5 sounds really fun to play. If I got either Shaq or the Dream though, I can move Mutumbo to the 4 or something.

List of my team all got thru purple packs terry porter pg absolute beast trailblazer. George ice man gevrin sf bulls. Jerome kersey sf blazer. Mark Aguirre sf pistons. John Stockton pg jazz. Earl the pearl monroe pg Knicks bill Walton c celtics. Greg ostertag c jazz. Daryl chocolate thunder Dawkins c pistons. Dell curry sg hornets Craig ehlo sg cavs. Robert horry pf rockets. Danny granger sf pacers. Tyrus Thomas pf bobcats and there's lots others not worth mentioning and a couple I forgot. Will update when I get on 2k. And I got Larry bird from seed prize. All except bird were purple packs. I have never received any thing but bronze players from gold packs. And out of the 35 to 45 k vc I've spent on gold I've only got a player maybe 5 or 6 times

I'm not speaking from hard evidence, but doesn't it seem like 2k is only releasing one incarnation of the individual legend? like Orlando Shaq would be the only Shaq available, not LA Shaq? and Pistons Darryl Dawkins, not Sixers DD? Don't you think 2k is trying to avoid duplicates of players on teams?

I guess with the exception of young and old Gerald Wallace which is the only one I've come across so far. I just don't think 2k would have 2 Mutombos from 2 different eras available for continuity purposes. It might just be me though...

I agree i at least believe that no 2 same players should be on the same team, that's one thing i don't like about madden ultimate team, people are able to have 3 Jerry Rice's runnin around, 2 night train lanes, 2 patrick willis' and so on, its just ridiculous IMO...

This whole myteam thing is a sham anyway, get to the first seed for mj and then what? i have a full page i am going to post as a wishlist thread for MyTeam that i have developed, maybe before i start some of you guys could throw in some input so we can be clear on what we as the consumer want (not that 2k takes much notice, but we have to have some sort of foundation!)

It's an idea that sounds more fun on paper but not necessarily smart in the long run. I mean, let's face it; 2K wouldn't have called it MyTEAM if they didn't expect people to actually come up with these ideas for improbable super teams on their own. I actually haven't seen the Lakers Shaq available in any of the Exhibition Games or even the 98 Kobe for that matter and maybe its going to stay that way but who knows. There's something about running two Kobes and two Shaqs on one team that sounds awesome. A team with two Mutumbos at the 4 and the 5 sounds like a defensive nightmare. Put the scrapper and bruiser skill attributes on them and you could really hurt opposing teams inside.

While it would be cool, it might not actually happen. =[

Yeah, it's very underwhelming to say the least. I mean you work really hard to develop a chemistry with the players you currently have and for what? To get players that could very well compromise said chemistry. I mean, Magic and Jordan are obviously great players but there's something about playing Rubio at the 1 and Drexler at the 2 that seems more unique than rolling with Magic and Jordan. You can't even buy Rubio yet which makes playing with feel more cool. He's not that great of a shooter but he's an excellent passer without having to pay for CP3. You'll get a few layups and occasional open jumpshots with the guy but he's not your go to scorer.

I'm more interested in getting rare legends then playing the playoff mode. Is that bad? I find farming and netting rare legends more rewarding than moving up seeds. Getting Bird was an achievement itself considering I got the guy pre-patch. 3-Point Shooting was running rampant at the time I got Bird. Now, I'm just more fixated on farming to get more legends. When I'm not farming, I'm all about Private Team Up games. This mode is exciting to me for all the wrong reasons I think. Hah whatever, it's still fun.

I agree, i also got MJ pre-patch without cheesing my way to the top and i also loved collecting legends, i had mitch richmond in my 3rd ever gold pack and is considered extremely rare (as far as i know only one other guy has him around here) so i thought this was cool. Until i started dominating every opponent and it got boring.

I remember before the purple boosters came along their were "Tournaments" advertised? where are these? this may potentially save the mode for this year atleast. They need to bring in a "Collection" system much in the mould of Madden Ultimate Team, then collecting the legends will be worth while IMO

I hear that about Rubio. If only his pull up jumper was more reliable, it'd make him the perfect cheap silver point guard. Awesome pass animations and great at throwing alley oops. Slap that Alley Oop Skill Attribute on him and Alley Oops become a much easier 2 points.

I don't think there's anything planned for that. One would assume that after 3 months, something would've been done by now but I've heard of nothing about that so far. Perhaps a second Players Market strictly for Legends Trading? I highly doubt that but it's an idea everyone could see happening. I know I'm not the only one hoarding legends that I'll never ever play. They should have something in store for people just hoarding Legends.
