I definitely noticed. 40% sounds right. While it's not necessarily the most reliable pattern we've discovered so far, it certainly beats wasting $3,000 VC on a pack that in all odds will just net you a common scrub bronze player.

I have 20,000+ VC right now... should I purchase gold packs? and arvis, should I do the reset system trick if I don't pull a player after two packs?

It seems to work for others. When I tried it, I got Mutumbo and Elgin Baylor. Other times I tried it, I got mostly scrub legends. I guess results vary from person to person. Every 2 packs though, I would turn my system off and try again. It's how I got Mutumbo.

see I've received a lot of silver legends and current gold players with the purple packs... and at least trend wise spending the 3000 for a guaranteed player has proved to be more effective than the gold risks... but it sounds like people are getting the rarest gold legends through gold packs.

I'm trying to wrap my head around it. I did the system reset trick after I sold JJ Hickson (whom I received from a gold pack) but it netted me nothing but 2 Frank Brickowski's, my 2nd Greg Ostertag and Bill Cartwright.

That's the method I'm going to use from now on. For half the price you get a better chance of gold players, I was sick of lame bronze after bronze not worth double the price.

The last three Purple Packs I bought, I got Kosta Koufos and TWO Matt Bonners. I was really upset considering that I already had Matt Bonner. =[ He's my go to Backup Power Forward. Gold Packs are the best for increased chances at Gold Players. Purple Packs usually spit out just anybody.

It seems the best players are now all available but no one has gotten 98 Kobe or Karl Malone yet. I hope I get either player.

I barely even like this game. The only mode I played in 2k12 was online classic team quick match I had so much fun with all the legends. 2k12 played so much better. If I didn't get earl the pearl in my first pack I don't know if I would have kept playing I just loved balling with the Pearl. I need to get Maravich that's all I want. Can't use classic teams online expect vs the same old friends I have so my team is the next best option. Anyway I made it to 2 seed but am struggling to get to no1 I'm looking forward to Jordan. I've been playing with Fab Melo at center the whole time just for whatever but am just seeing now how much better Drummond is. And I love using Jimmer too (not just shooting) that keeps me playing too.

just opened like 30,000 VC worth of purple and gold boosters and the best guys i got were detlef schrempf and toni kuckoc

Seeing alot of people pull Kukoc lately...I really want him.

If it wasn't for MyTeam and being able to put together these little custom teams, I don't really know if I'd play this game that much....

I just wish I was able to play this mode a little more without constantly having to play Wade-LeBron-Durant-Griffin-Howard....(sigh)

I realize these guys are popular, but there is very little variety.

Instead of the "Road to the Playoffs" thing, I think a salary cap-based system would be better.

Bronze games 250, Silver 500, Gold 1000, and UNcapped....

Also add a Platinum class for players....this is the top 10 players in the game....(so LBJ, KD, D Rose, Wade, Howard, Blake G, Iggy, Kobe, Westbrook, Melo, CP3...the unstoppable guys...okay, that's 11....)....and make them ULTRA-expensive...it will give the mode more variety.

This mode adds SO MUCH to the game...

It can get boring playing online with only 30 teams, especially when everyone wants to use like 4 of them - Heat, Lakers, Clippers, Thunder....

With MyTeam, you can pick the team you want.

For most people, that is a team of STARS and 3-pt gunners...but I am finding the more I play that some other things can really work.

Teams built around good defenders with high Def AWR and On Ball Def ratings....athletic teams of fast young players....well-rounded teams with 5 guys who can pass the ball effectively.

This mode is perfect for those of us who want to play GM of our own little team without having to grind out playing in an Online Association and all that entails.

Not to mention the ability to create some teams just for FUN....all-time teams for certain franchises, teams of players all from the same college, etc....

I am working on a All-Time COACHES team....Phil Jackson, KC Jones, Monty Williams, Scoot Brooks, Doc Rivers, Mo Cheeks, Larry Drew, Don Nelson, etc...

I really hope 2K takes this mode and RUNS with it. It's my favorite part of the game...

Damn, so it's official: I guess every good legend in the game is up for grabs now. Maybe the rarer ones are just harder to get like The Dream, Karl Malone, Clyde Drexler, AI, Nique, etc...

Has anyone ever received 98 Spurs Tim Duncan or the Admiral?

This has been my assumption all along...

Especially when I've played CPU Teams in MyTeam with these players on their roster.

I think some are rare and others may not even be available yet...

This is something I wonder about...

Like with coaches and arenas too....or all the packs I've bought, I've seen hundreds of repeats but still have never seen certain coaches....like George Karl for example...or certain arenas....like the Cavs Quicken Loans Arena...

My guess is 2K is "releasing" some of these as time goes by...

Like this week I've seen several people mention they have gotten Toni Kukoc...who we hadn't seen much before that.

I know people have gotten The Admiral. I've gotten Quicken Loans Arena many times... might have gotten George Karl once or twice (I think he's silver)
