Why in the world is this game $30 cheaper if you buy it on Steam only one month after release? I'm getting completely gipped because I prefer to play sports games on consoles. Crappy business practice by 2K and Valve.

I think it's because if they don't do it, PC players will resort to piracy. So to try to make some money off the game, they make them really cheap really fast.My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10
3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.Comment

Controllers aren't disposable. PC gamers need controllers for other games too. I really doubt 2K and EA sports lower PC game price to compensate players having to buy one of the gaming accessory.
I know PC titles are usually 10 dollars less than console titles because there is no licensing fee the developers have to remit to Sony and Microsoft.
And why does OP think this is a crappy business by 2K and Valve again? According to him, he prefers to play sports games on console? So what's that got to do with 2K and Valve???

You can get a legit PC game for 15$ now a days that are normally 50$ on consoles..

1. 2K doesn't have to pay absurd amounts of money to Sony and Microsoft when releasing a game on PC.
2. It's an inferior product. Less game modes, no increase in graphics except for crowd texture, resolution and AA, network problems and only one patch per year months late from the ones on 360 and PS3.

release was the same, the digital release was just a month later.
the graphics are much much better with mods. and there's bonuses like being able to use sliders and CF's in mycareer among many other things.
you are correct about game modes and super late patch though. if you dont care about online the PC is the vastly superior version, if you do then stick to the console.Comment
