I have an issue with the pass fake as well but it's for a different reason than you provided (though I admit there's been a handful of times where I've accidentally fake passed when I didn't want to).

My issue with the double tap fake pass is one tap initiates a passing animation and the second tap cancels it, creating an ugly action taken by the player where both feet are moving all over the place. It's a glitchy travel. Something similar occurs on shot fakes this year as well (both feet moving and sliding all over). It doesn't ruin the game and it's not driving me crazy, but it's certainly something clear and apparent.

I agree. While it doesn't happen often, it seems to happen in the most crucial moments. I'll get a little over excited to hit a wide open person under the rim on a nice back door cut and boom....pass fake cause I accidentally double tapped. I would say it happens only once over a span of quite a few games, but still does happen.

No it wasn't, it made perfect sense. If you quickly decide to change your mind on a pass you just quickly tap A again, that's how it works in real life, it was either planned or just decided in a split second. Now, making it so that when you tap X in the backcourt (usually because you were trying to steal the ball), you launch up a Hail Mary - that, was a stupid idea. They should have either made it contextual so that you can only do that when the shot clock or the buzzer are about to go off, OR they could have just made it that you had to hold X for more than a split second. I'm sure they could fix this in a patch, which they should.

I have the same problem OP. I have the bad habit of double tapping to who I am trying to pass too because I am trying to get the ball to them as fast as possible. I eventually have to call timeout because I am about to get 3 seconds or something lol. Gotta break that habit.

How is it bad design? Have you noticed that's also how the shot button works? Spamming the shot button for no reason would have the same effect right?

People where complaining last year that the pass fake didn't need it's own button and it was a waste. Making it so if you press the pass button twice to pass fake was a great idea.

It takes like 1 hour to get ride of that kind of habbits, big deal. People prefer to complain about it so next year the devs just take it out of the game. Then people will complain again.

I'm sure you'll write it off as "everyone just sucks except me and doesn't know how to play"
Yeah thanks, you give me a lot of credit I see.

I'd be satisfied with the double tap if it didn't often result in a jerky looking shuffle of the feet and slight spasm of the body. It's not super terrible, but it's odd enough to be apparent in my regard.

I haven't personally noticed it but I'll pay attention next time. I just think that it is very responsive and it works perfectly.

A bounce pass doesn't help the situation I'm talking about.. Unless I'm wanting to hit the defender in the knees.. It needs to be lobbed over, or at least towards the basket.

If that's the case you might want to press the shoot and pass button(lob command) instead of complaining....learn the controls

Instead of simply lobbing it over the top of the defender to my cutting player the pass is thrown directly into the defenders chest.. Almost like I'm trying to pass through him, wtf lol...

Sometimes the defender has good position (has cut off the passing lane) and you have the lead the pass elsewhere (away from the basket)

I know the controls thank you. I don't want to throw an oop. I want the player to simply make a pass that arches over the defender and not straight into his chest.

Simple, basketball 101, peewee kids can do this but players on 2K can't.. Should be fixed
