New to the forum. Love 2k and its basketball franchise. I play on PS3. I hate the Miami Heat in the game. All jokes aside. It's a game, play it for fun. They have less than 12-months to make a game. It was your choice to buy it, knowing it was going to be quite similar to the last. I get why people are frustrated, but the goal of the game is for enjoyment. Just my two cents.

Other than what's been said already, one thing that really irks me is that in MyCareer, sometimes the CPU "auto-adjusts" who you are supposed to guard. I'll use the Lakers as an example since I can actually name their team.

Say I'm the Celtics PG, and assigned to guard Steve Nash. Sometimes help defense and whatnot happens, and before you know it someone else is covering Steve Nash, and then my assignment magically shifts to Kobe Bryant. Except I don't get any sort of notification of this happening, and by the time I notice, Kobe Bryant is clear across the other side of the baseline. Then he gets the ball for an open shot, and I get penalized for "allowing my man to score" even though he really wasn't even the guy I was supposed to be guarding.

I believe many things are mentinoned here and there in the forum, so I would share my low moments with the game in rather concise manner:

-Skating is back for another year (even with minimal use of turbo). Footplanting improved minimally, but far from satisfactory. It kills you efforts on defense tremendously.
-Bumping stll excessive and mechanic, improved like 5% from NBA 2K12. A lot of unnecessary and unnatural movements in the game. NBA 2k13 is just another build of the last year game, with questionable improvements.
-Ball awarness by AI players is just horrible. Ball often lands on their head and they stll can't grab a rebound.
-Speaking about rebounds, AI offensive rebounding is basically broken. Its used by the AI to keep scores close or to differentiate dificulty levels in most irritating way possible, another proof of 2k12build not improved enough (boxing out not helping, if you were wondering whether I tried that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2hQ_WFSiaA&sns=em).
-Dunks impossible to block or change. If opponent beats you minimally for possition forget about blocking.
-Online on pro difficulty is basically an arcade mode.
-Online lag kills your timing for plethora of things, especially on defense. In general online remains the last place where they even try to improve anything.

Well, I hope they address in the patch at least some of things mentioned here, though I remain very sceptical about that. The game is far from trash, it has great positive sides, for e.g. breaking animations in the post, dribble moves are fantastic, but how can you enjoy the good sides when movement, rebounding and other core staff irritate you that often?

What I don't like about nba 2k13 is lack of explosiveness. Ex. explosive dunks, passes, alley oops , dunks off backboards.

More Real Life Like a.i. and graphics is what 2k13 is missing

IMO, nba 2k13 is a fun game though it's not the best bball game yet. Ill wait for the patch then decide.

what irritates me in the game most are the AI offensive rebounding, player rotations of CPU teams in association and lacking of injuries ingame.

but all are tolerable for me so far. just play it as it is.

Most frustrating thing in the game is definitely the offensive rebounding, especially in My Player where I'm 99% sure sliders don't work. Still a good game though

for me its the shot button going dead, by far! very frustrating in those nail bitters where it feels like every posession matters. any other improvements is icing on the cake for me.

Some people say rebounding is fine. Most say its broken. I have to say its broken. I not saying I have the best rebounders, but one is top 5 ratings wise. Every game I lose the battle on the boards unless its a blowout(my way). Last game they had around 14 off. Rebounds to my 2. Man I swear one day there will be a broken controller and a hole on the wall.

all this week i tried everyday to beat the 95 magic with the 96 bulls in HOF!!

I was not able to stop dennis scott, he is able to go to the basket to make lay up, when i miss an offense he is able to make a fastbreak easily, when i set pippen on tight in D, pip let him alone so dennis can shot a 3 pt, but when pip make a good D, Scott can make the 3 pt!!

Shaq. I believed that he was good in the game, but in fact he is to much strong!! he drives to the basket like Mike or Lebron!! he shot from mid range to easily!!

An Penny, Penny has a new floater this year, impossible to stop, he makes a mid range lay up from the free throw lign!!

So to conclude, i have to modify the Magic players, shaq has 94 in overall, i diminish him to 88, the same for the other players!!

But the real problem is not the overall of magic player, because when i play well with the bulls, Rodman is able to take off rebond and def rebond, Jordan and Pippen can steal the ball and make a good D on Scott and Anderson, and CPU can be really disturbing and miss action!! so i'm able to beat the Magic during some minutes and watch a real good game, a sim game, but there is a moment in the game you don't know what triangle offense play, because there are some triangle offense missing, the real one are missing, and now im' sure of that, it's impossible to play with the bulls in HOF due to this big problem!
I searched in 86 bulls, i searched LAL 2013 (mamba iso), i search timberwolves pinch option, but there are not complete, 2 pass and the triangle is finished? no no no

Since 3 years, i have tried every possible offense to find the triangle offense, and i discovered in watching Bulls Game on Youtube, that if Bulls had not phil jackson and triangle offense (i know i teach you nothing), Jordan would not have been Jordan. So how do you want Jordan is able to be Jordan if there is not in NBA 2k the real good triangle offense, so 2k sells his game in showing jordan but it's only hot air!

When you go on Bulls 86 strategy, there is 5 times the same strategy, Why,,,, 42 up strong, 42 up strong, 42 up strong 42 up strong 42 up strong, ok! 1 2 3 4 5!!

other things irritate me, some shot from Mike, no improvement, maybe 5 % like you say from 2k12!! no more fade way jumpshot, and yesterday i did a jumpshot, he finished with one hand the moovment of his jumpshot like a center, horrible, ugly!!!!
His dunk are still ugly!!! 2 % improvment!

if i could show you all the moovment i don't like!!

so ok a patch but they can't change that in a patch (even if i thing it's possible in 2013 with new technology) maybe with phil jackson, maybe with not Mamba isa, but Mike iso, or air jordan iso, not Min pinch option, but Bulls Pinch option with a Backdoor step possible, not a SAS ....., but Bulls ...., why 52 roll is not in bulls 96, 93, 91??? only for 98 bulls? i know i can change it, but it's not normal to find one of the biggest triangle offense of phil jackson only in 98 bulls strategy!!
Finally every classics bulls should have the same strategy!!

i know that before i would like Jordan in a game, i know that, but finaly if he had never been in a game, i would prefere!

If classics team come back in 2k14 and there is not a improvment of 100 % i will guess it and it's clear for me it's the end of NBA for me!!!
