I like that 2K adjusted it, but it shouldn't be a foul EVERY SINGLE TIME you push the steal button. Further, I'm getting tons of reach in fouls called on my CPU teammates, which is getting frustrating.

if you want to reach just play with Chris Paul he'll get the steals you want. I just played online and stole the ball from Lebron and others with Chris Paul probably 4 or 5 times in one game. Got one reach call with him.Comment

Ok guys. I haven't played much since the patch before tonight, but I just made a nice MyPlayer Center, and got drafter to the Blazers. Having fun so far, but damn, I've heard Kevin harlen call me "ABC" once, Doris Burke calle me "ABC" and the arena announcer say "A-B-C!!!" so many times it's outrageous. Even when I didn't do anything. So it seems he calls other people ABC too.
Also, I like the camera angle "Turbo". But it seems I can't choose that until I'm on the court? As in... if I'm a bench player, and choose that at the beginning of the game... it's not there at all as a choice. But it is once I am on the court. And it doesn't save. I have to do this every game.:\Comment

Played a couple of games it does feel improved but....
1.they need to up the strength of user's contest. Alot of times you can play PERFECT defense and the game simply wont recognize it. ESPECIALLY 3's!! Alot of times when I contest a shot and they make it not because they make a tough shot it is because they game doesnt recognize when contested even the commentators will say something about how he was WIDE OPEN.
I like how the shot contest was in 2k12 POST PATCH. when you played great defense the game consistently recognized that you played great defense.
2. There has to be a way to disrupt dunk animations. Atleast let us contest or alter the dunk somehow or even knock them on their rear end old school style lol.
3. The offensive rebounds has dropped down slightly but it is kind of a problem. In this game it simply feels like the offensive team has an advantage on rebounding to me. Especially when you have a lead they go offensive rebounding crazy. This wasnt a fluke it has happened to me in multiple games.Comment

You said "We know what you want,you want it all and we are going to give it to you." in the tv spot, i call b.s! It only takes 3 swips to get called for a foul and anything after that is way to hard to get away with. When i play i like to feel i can do anything and get away with it, if i wanna get 10 steals in a game so be it! what harm does it do,its called escapism. If i wanna play with "realistic" setting then i will put it on hall of fame mode, or play like a beast and kill it ever game i will go pro., it should be up to me and not you. I hope nbalive comes back soon to give us gamers more options and you competition. You did better with a rival... and get over yourself 2k its just a Game JUST LET US PLAY!Comment

Haha wow man that all just sounds like "Wahhhhhhh!!! I can't mash the steal button and get 50 pts off of turnovers!!! Wahhhhhhh!!!!" I don't want a challenge or be competitive and actually LEARN how to play BASKETBALL ina BASKETBALL GAME!! Wahhhhhhh!! Listen bro I'm gonna help you out, instead of coming here and crying about not getting your way, go into the settings options in the game and turn down "reach in foul frequency" all the way down to 0, play a game and spam the X or square button till your thumb bleeds.
But if your playing online? Well too bad, get used to dissapointment. I might even play a game or 2 online now that people like you are either trying to play smarter by not reaching in 100 times a game or not online anymore period and leaving guys that know how to win without using cheap/boring tactics.Last edited by Humdinger80; 12-01-2012, 05:49 AM.Comment

I agree with u 100% just like real life basketball if u can't play good on ball D u will be penalized so get used to it. So either learn how to play on ball D or all u steal spammers should go play NBA JAM!!!IF U CAN'T BEAT ME LEGIT, CAN U ACTUALLY BEAT ME???Comment

This is false. I waited on playing the allstar weekend and now it sims the rest of the season to the playoffs and there are no games on the calender. The patch did not help this. If I have to start over I want my VC back. Does any one know how to fix this?Comment

Just played a beautiful, legit low scoring NBA basketball game.
Final score was 83-81, I won off a last second mid range jumper off an inbounds screen with Andre Igoudala.
Both teams had trouble finding the bucket in this one, shooting 44 and 39% from the field. Before the patch I never thought I would see such a beautiful low scoring game.
After the patch, I'm seeing games with such variety I absolutely love it. Fouls, points, everything is varied. I finally feel like I can play a full season in association and every game will be different.
I can't thank 2K enough for this patch. They've taken care of the offline player with this one and I really appreciate itComment

Bold: happen to me online Hall of Fame/Simulation against my friend. Deron Williams contested Kyle Korver, he even did that contested shot animation and he splashed the 3!
For offline, I increased the Defense sliders (Jumpshot Gather & Release) to 70. It helps a lot.Comment

I use Custom Sliders offline, and I put the Steal attribute slider at 50, and Go For On Ball Steals tendency at 50. I am seeing some strips, even by me and the CPU of players who can. Another trick I did, I put the Ball Handle attribute slider to 25. If you go into protect ball animation and do a spin move, the ball will sometimes get popped out by the defender. This helps out a lot. Seeing less and less reach ins by the CPU. Dwayne Wade will rip the ball from you if you aren't careful.Comment
