Which modes do you play?

I can't upgrade jack even though I go 20-30 ppg - 5 apg - 5 rbg - 1 spg. I like and try to keep things realistic. Even if I go 80 ppg it doesn't change a single thing, I won't get a lot of VC or more for that matter. So how am I going to upgrade my player when everything is so expensive. If you get 150 VC per game that would take you 20 games to get a sig skill. I play on 12 min quarters, do the math. You want me to ballhog, play 3 min quarters and go 100 ppg? That's fun and realistic.

There is no way to earn VC get over it. I'll try and play an association game tomorrow and see if I still get VC, if I don't what then? I only play 12 min quarters, so I didn't earn it? Someone in this thread already said he got 0 VC even though he played the whole game. Explain that.

1. You earn absolutely nothing while playing MyCareer, everything is TOO expensive as well.

You do earn something, but it's way too little. And I agree with the cost.

I have no problem with this. We shouldn't get VC just for having our XBox on.

Wait, really? That seems ridiculous. Fortunately I've started to play 12 min quarter games, but still seems ridiculous. What they had before was fine.

4. Blacktop mode has changed as well, so you can't shoot 3's and get an easy (I forgot) 250 VC?

5. You don't get VC playing association, again just VC for the time you put into it.

Really? That seems bad.

I have no problem with them removing exploits/effortless ways of earning VC, but do have a problem with imbalance between VC rewards in different modes and cost of items. The Blacktop change was good, as was the Coach mode change, but beyond that, they just needed to increase VC rewards for MyCareer games and lower the cost of items.

You know when it's an exploit? When I would use it to boost my player and play ONLINE. I DO NOT play online nor do I have that intention. So what does it matters if I let my xbox play the game for me and get VC? It's for my own use, for my OFFLINE MyCareer.

I guess in their defense, it was an exploit that people were using to their advantage. Now I don't condone cheating by any means but if 2K realistically expects us to play for weeks on end to get VC just to up our MyPlayer's 3 point ability by ONE point, they're fcking nuts.

I think this patch affects people who play MyTEAM more than anyone else. I was really interested in getting the hard to come by legends through packs. I stopped playing Road to the Playoffs at one point because I just wanted to see how much awesome legends I can get by farming. You know I actually made it up to 60,000 VC in one day. I bought nothing but Season Kick-Off packs and got nobody worth mentioning. =[ That was a rough night. Very disappointing. I wanted to be the first guy to get the Dream, Shaq or Bill Russell.

Anyone who finds a VC exploit now I would imagine becoming a king amongst men. lol

They owe me an explanation why I can't make any decent VC playing MyCareer (most popular mode) or the Association mode.


Why does a sleeve cost 3000VC when my yearly (max) salary is only 500 VC. I only make 150 VC a game, I'm never going to be able to buy a sleeve and in the meanwhile upgrade my attributes. What's the point?


Cost of a sleeve: 3000 VC
VC per game: 150
= takes me 20 games to get 3000VC

Then I have 60 games left to buy other stuff. In the meanwhile, obiously, get a little bit (40) VC for winning a game or completing a milestone. So what? That's nothing.
Even when I put a lot of time into this game I'm not being rewarded.

It's still an exploit/poor game design. I've done it a couple of times but would eventually play a couple of legit possessions because of how completely cheesy it was. It was fixed as it should have been, and it was a smart fix too.

And just because you don't use it to boost online, doesn't mean that others won't/don't use it to boost their blacktop player or MyTeam. The complaints shouldn't fall on things 2k fixed. They should fall on things they haven't fixed, like expensive accessories and underwhelming VC for MyPlayer games. When the worst way to improve your player in a mode is by actually playing that mode, then the game design is broken.

I understand people are mad, I ran 8 min quarters games and it would take a couple of games in my association to get 750 VC. I exclusively play association and MyCareer and this is a definite dent in the coin purse to build up MyPlayer. It sucks, but I understand people exploited it. I hope you all that did keep whining and crying because turning on 12 min quarters and walking away is a pretty cheap way to build up your VC.

Just my opinion, but they see these boards and everybody spreading exploits. It's your own fault friends.

Ive been playing nothing other then my assoiciaton the last couple weeks. Hooked on it. 11min quarters. Anyway the point is I played 3 games today, maybe 4, and I got VC for every game. Am i the only one?

2K's implementation of the VC system was very flawed. Maybe if the pricing on the clothing/accessories wasn't so high, it wouldn't be so bad. But if I'm not gonna earn VC for actually playing a 44-48 minute game, I think that's pretty messed up on 2k's part. I'm sure there could be a way to disable VC for a game only if Coach mode is turned on.

I understand that they were removing an exploit, but really? I just played a full 11 min. quarter game and received no VC in return? Come on 2k, I know someone on the dev. team could figure out how to only turn off VC if Coach Mode is enabled, not just taking it away completely. I mean after all, they are able to disable milestones and trophies if we just switch teams mid-game...
