I have no issue grinding out! The ISSUE at hand is you're no longer earning anything when playing a quick game! I earn my points by actually playing 12 minute quarters of NBA today games!

I never did the coach mode trick since I felt that was a cheap trick of gaining bc points.

It's not fair that we no longer get VC for these games to upgrade our MyPlayer since MyCAREER is useless for upgrading. We have to play over half a season just to get some gear, animations or signature skills. 2K really thinks people have the time to earn 20000 VC to make a decent player, when we only earn 100 a game? Really?

looks like i just have to play blacktop online because that seems like the only good way to get VC. Sigh. So many divas online that dont know how to play. Are there any good team players on xbox that was to team up?

I really hope they remove this VC thing next year (which they won't because it's a cashcow) and go back to skill points. In 2K11 I could upgrade so many attributes when I played a good game and I got 2000-3000 or more points. I can't upgrade jack with 70 VC.

I actually didn't use the coach mode that often, I'm glad I had a little bit saved. Else I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the MyPlayer mode.


It also doesn't make sense that when I play 40 mins per game I get the same amount of VC as when I would play 4 mins. It ain't fair.


2K needs to give us more VC for the time we put in it. And make everything a lot cheaper.


I wish there was no blacktop, that's the sole reason VC was created. So people couldn't hack their way to a 99 overall.

I don't think that word is entirely appropriate for the situation. I am far from a casual gamer. This system is broken..... plain and simple. People only resorted to VC Farming because of how ridiculous it was to earn it in the first place. It's similar to EV Training and IV Breeding in the old days of Pokemon. Pokerus + a Brace and fight the same trainer over. It was an exploit, but EV Training was just ridiculous. GF never even thought about removing it. They've even made it easier.

"Grind for what you wanted." Well, when you grind and grind only to get 200 VC each game and you still can't get what you wan't it's a joke.

Let's say you play 4-5 Hours a Day(I do about 3). That means you get 800-1100 VC, assuming you are playing 4-5 games on 10-12 Minute Quarters. It would take you 3-5 days (16-20 Games) to buy certain Sleeves or a Sig Skill. That's kinda pushing it. 4-5 Hours is already a hell of a lot of time to put into a game.

What, you want me to play more? Hell, even many dedicated gamers don't have time to put more than 3-5 hours a day into it. You can only grind so much before your priorities[college/job] are hit.

Everyone is whining about not being able to start MY CAREER as Jordan in his prime basically. Build your player up over his career. That is how it should be.

Not for nothing guy but if everyone played MyCAREER without farming for VC or god forbid buying it, it would take them at least 10 seasons of MyCAREER to actually get any good. Take when your rookie contract ends for example. How is it at all fair to offer players 650 VC for 5 years when all the good sht in MyCAREER is worth 3X that much? That's 650 VC for 5 years mind you that I actually had to negotiate for. That wasn't the original offer which is fcking sad in my opinion. That's not even enough for a fcking hat let alone a 1 point bump on 3-Point or Rebound ratings. That's beyond pitiful and it's enablers like you that let's 2K get away with this sht. Farming for VC by any means was the only real rational way to earn VC without playing 6 hours a day and reaping the same benefits. Farming for VC before the patch got me 30,000 VC an hour. If done through legit means, that would've taken weeks and honestly, who's got that much time on their hands? Some people work for a living, they go to school, they have kids, girlfriends, mistresses they fck on the side, etc... who's got the time to play 6 hours a day to earn 3,500 VC to buy a stupid Philadelphia 76ers hat?

Farming was a victimless crime in this game. Why should 2K give a sht? We already bought the fcking game. I farmed shamelessly in Resident Evil 5 to get all good guns and upgrades. Here, with all the ridiculous prices in the MyPlayer store, farming was the only rational option.

It's not even that. I used the VC to upgrade my player little by little after each Career game. 100 VC for a 40+ minute game was pitiful and allowed what? +1 or +2 attributes? You really thank +1 to an attribute is gonna help? Not to mention Speed costs 450+ for each +1. 4-5 games to get +1 in speed is just not right. At least earning 750+ VC after a regular game allowed for 1-2 upgrades.

The VC system was just so broken this year and 2K should just get rid of it all. Or at least only apply to gear and signature skills. The Skill Point system was just fine with me, I don't see why 2K felt it'd be beneficial to make VC pay for attribute upgrades.They should know people would abuse it and use it to get their player scoring 40+ a game off the bench... in their first games. Totally takes away from the realism of the game and Career mode. Having to earn VC for upgrades takes too long. Having to pay for VC takes away from the fun and is completely unnecessary because the skill point system was just fine.

Ok, this is a problem, not removing the coach mode for VC exploit. Guys not getting VC for actually playing and finishing games needs to be addressed, not why they removed an exploit.

Where is the glory of being able to take a 60 rated player score 30, 10, 10 knowing that you will get rewarded a good amount of skill points. Where are the days of winning the MVP your first two season and looking forward to a big money contract that will allow you to buy Jordan's dunk package etc.

Its sad that making money on the side has ruin my player mode. I used to play every game in 2k12 despite the game flaws, I barely play my player in 2k13 because it means nothing to get a triple double. Should I look foward to a 400 coin contract? I have never done one drill in myplayer mode, 60 vc for a drill really...You can't even upgrade anything.
