Those teams have no defense you should be able to dunk all day, you shouldn't need to cheese. The Euro cheese doesn't work if you get in the players face with intense D. You need acrobat 3 which isn't available in myteam to hit 100% regardless of D.

No zone running here, at least not consistently.Comment

Re: Did they increase the difficulty for online ranked or not?
this game is ***** unplayable for online quickmatches. why is this still on pro. enough catering to the casuals who need to be able to drop contested shots vs 2 defenders. I quit after the 1st quarter usually because it's literally unplayable.
blacktop is more sim as far as I'm concerned.
(overpowered) zone playing wooses? check
contested shots dropping like it's nothin? checkComment

Re: Did they increase the difficulty for online ranked or not?
The major thing I see changed is shot releases, some slightly illogical things still take place in the game. The 3 jackers tend to get bailed out after offensive rebounds, especially in late game situations.
I do like how more reach-in fouls are called, but that seems to apply to perimeter play more than anything, still saw some one swipe-ball knockouts/one swipe-steal scenarios when I had the ball in the post.
I really miss the 2 man animation system from 2K11, just played a Nets user, and it was sadly funny on one play in which he took Joe Johnson and kept dribbling through Jason Terry. Terry made this funny looking body contortion animation while getting driven to the rim until the Nets user threw up a contested shot with Joe. That ball should have been picked up or something.
No I don't play zone, yes I'm aware that this one game was an anomaly, but OREBs do seem to be happening more on missed threes.Comment

Re: Did they increase the difficulty for online ranked or not?
I was using the Celtics. I had no idea what he was doing at first and figured he just got lucky. I started playing man, switched to zone and half court trap and started doubling him. I managed to win, but it was very annoying. The guy actually messaged me back acting like I was the one who was cheesing....gimme a break. I was running actual plays with the Celtics and not relying on cheesy animations.
I won the game, but I wasn't having fun at all. Sadly, I have no desire to play in sim leagues either. Too much drama and I don't feel like committing 24/7 to one. I was in one for like a week and it is like you aren't even allowed to enjoy other games without them harassing you to play constantly. Plus add in the 500 rules you have to follow and you can't even focus on winning.
I miss the days of 2k8 with lobbies and good leaderboards. Choops 2k8 and NBA 2k8 were the best bball games ever.Comment

Re: Did they increase the difficulty for online ranked or not?
I believe online difficulty is on superstar and has been since release, for two reasons:
1. When I go to my VIP profile it says right in there what difficulty you play on most, and for me it says Superstar. The only modes I play besides quick match are HoF online association, HoF NBA Today and HoF practice mode. I've played more on quick match than any other mode. I don't play Superstar difficulty anywhere besides quick match.
2. When you're in a quick match and the final buzzer sounds, if you pause it before the Player of the Game comes up, you can go in and look at the difficulty settings, and they say Superstar/Simulation.
I have seen some people on the forums claim that quick match is set on "pro" or "default," but I've never seen anyone cite evidence for that opinion.Comment

Join the waiting list for vannwolfhawk's league, it's not one of those leagues with a 1000 rules, no PIP restrictions, NOTHING. Just one or two guidelines. Hit up AllStarDon on Xbox. Him and JasonWilliams55 have got a test league going and they don't have any restrictions on play at all. You don't have to join a website or anything and there aren't any rules."Most people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them"Comment

Re: Did they increase the difficulty for online ranked or not?
I am just not really feeling the desire to commit to a league honestly. I just wish ranked games were on a better setting. Granted, they seem to have been a bit better than what I was playing a few months ago, but there still is some BS.Comment

Re: Did they increase the difficulty for online ranked or not?
Yeah I found out about the euro three yesterday. The first time he did it I thought he was clowning. He kept doing it and I realized it was a glitch people found. Needless to say I just ended up quitting because that is not how I wanted to spend 30 minutes of my life.
I know some people say "don't play randoms online"...ok I can't stand to read that because some times you only have about 30 minutes for a quick game and most OS players like to play 8-12 minute quarters. Yesterday was one of those times where I had 30 minutes to play and that was the game I got. 2k needs to fix this crap. I am getting so heated with them because it's the same thing over and over.
On top of that, I question if Off Rebounding is fixed because I still have a major problem with that online. It's just too much silliness that goes on in these online ranked games.Comment

Re: Did they increase the difficulty for online ranked or not?
Offensive rebounding is one main reason I lose to bad players. I outplay them in every facet of the game, but they'll get 10-12 offensive rebounds and get wide open 3's. I pretty much never lost to average or below average players last year, but this year the offensive rebounding and low difficulty allows them to compete. They can take bad shot after bad shot and not be penalized for it. I get so upset when I lose to someone who has no bball IQ and jacks up a 3 with no passing, while I am running plays and moving the ball for high quality looks. Something isn't right when you lose to guys like that IMO.Comment
