You should probably just make a "Changes I want for the Portland Trailblazers" thread at this point... -
He IS our closer though, and his ability to score is maximized/taken to another level in the 4th quarter IRL. Thus he should have closer on the game. Don't want to give it to him early? Why not? Giving it to him now would simulate his current play. If he shows otherwise then simply remove it?
All the other closers have a much larger body of work, and have done it on the huge stage of playoffs and finals. I could be arguing that Jarrett Jack get closer given his late game stabilizing influence for a 18-10 Warriors but I'm not going to.
13-12? You haven't really closed much of anything.Last edited by Sundown; 12-24-2012, 12:49 PM.Comment

Re: "The Closer" Damian Lillard
Hickson is solid, but he's fine where he's rated...the Blazers so far rebound basically the same with or without him on the court...yeah he definitely needs a rebounding boost...Comment

Re: "The Closer" Damian Lillard
Come on, if anybody deserves a Sig. Skill more than anyone else, it's Gordon Hayward and Chasedown block. Hayward gets as much, if not more, chasedown blocks than LeBron does. I'm tired of him being overlooked in almost every aspect on 2k.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: "The Closer" Damian Lillard
Actually, based on the track record of the Blazers, 2k should give him the "Closer" sig skill while they can because in two years, he's probably going to blow out his ACL's, or discover that he doesn't have any cartilage in his knees or something and he'll be out of the league. I hope not because I really like Lillard and I hope he has a lengthy career. After what happened to Oden, Roy, and what happened with last years team, give the Blazers whatever they want. They deserve it.
Sorry, bud. Based on this forum, he doesn't deserve the rating and you're being a "homer". In time, he'll be deserving but my gosh, we're 25 games into the season. Relax. Be happy with his 82 rating and play the game.Comment

Re: "The Closer" Damian Lillard
Here are his "clutch" stats from 82games.com. Note that the sample size for games is 11.
All stats per 48 Min
10.3 FGM
22.1 FGA
.464 FG%
.571 EFG%
46% AST'd
0% Blk'd
7.1 FTM
32.4 Pts
The sample size isn't very big (11 games and a maximum of 55 minutes), but those are some very good clutch stats. If he continues that through the season, I believe he would definitely deserve the sig skill. Another player that currently does is Kyrie Irving. He is very underrated in "clutch" moments.Acts 2:38. Let the truth be told.
John 4:23. He is seeking a seeker.
John 3:20. Say no to normal.Comment

Well your living in the west coast are able to see the games most ppl are in bed like myself when they tip off. But he doesn't deserve the closer sig. He's hit a couple game winners. WhoopieComment

Re: "The Closer" Damian Lillard
Lillard with yet another 4th quarter performance (including a clutch step back J).
No one expected anything out of Portland yet they sit on a 5 game winning streak at 13-12. Lillard had 18 second half points! J.J Hickson turned in his 7th straight double-double.
Portland is actually relevant because of Lillard's tremendous play in crunch time (especially in overtime where they're 4-0), and because of J.J Hickson stepping up. The man is a closer, you may not accept it but all of us whom actually watch the games know!
