Anyone else noticed a reduced 3 point % during online games?

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem. I play competitively on Virgin Gaming and everybody who plays zone (75% of the people on there) are going to have a field day. Because hitting 3's and mid range jumpers are the only way to break the glitched zone they have in this game. This is going to cost people on there, including me, alot of money.

It has its pros, for example it's gonna eliminate the euro 3 glitch entirely but overpower the zone defense immensely. Basically 2K is giving the zone users a huge boost here because there is no need to play man and cover shooters because they are going to miss wide open 3's.

In my opinion they adjusted the 3 point success because of these clowns abusing the euro 3 point glitch. I say keep the glitch and take your chances than let these other clowns who zone all game completely dominate.

Nope Euro 3 glitch works just as well as it ever has.

I thought i was the only one. I didn't have a problem with wide open shots going in 95% of the time because I usually play good D and don't leave guys open. I only had a problem with Steve Novak going 5/5 with my defender right in his face. Now I feel like I cant make anything.

I play with the Heat who are loaded with 3 point shooters.

Shane Battier is now a C+ wide open in the corner despite his signature skill there
Mike Miller is now a C- everywhere I've tried
Mario Chalmers is now a C- everywhere I've tried
Rashard Lewis and James Jones can't make any either but I don't have enough attempts with them to notice a pattern

The best situation I can find is Ray Allen in the corner which is a B+ but I still shoot terribly with him. And a bunch of these shots are falling out of the air like dead ducks before they even touch the rim. You know, it bugged me when people picked the Clippers and shot 40 threes with Crawford right in my face. But I was still winning those games. Now my good basketball is being punished and I have to spam LeBron and Wade in the paint against ridiculous zone defenses.

Yeah, it sucks when a game is released with problems. It sucks a lot more when the developer has a decent game and continually ruins it with every progressing change to the point that it doesn't even resemble the product it once was. I mean why are they worrying about this and not an actual problem like blocked pump fakes for instance?

Well...I don't know if anything has changed....but my shooting has improved.

It could just be me getting used to the new settings...I don't really know.

I just know that this morning before my meeting, and when I got home tonight and played some more - I made more 3's than I had been.

I am holding the release a little LONGER...maybe that will help some of the people struggling.

In some of the MyTeam games I played my opponents were playing off me and when I nailed a couple 3's, it seemed like they got MAD.

Most of them couldn't make many.

The biggest change I see isn't just 3's...it's playing a wild, breakneck, out-of-control style that will get you into trouble. It will result in missed shots, turnovers, bobbles, etc

I am still seeing misses that make ZERO sense though...

Wide open 3 on the wing with Schrempf tonight that got an "A" feedback...and clanked.

All in all, I am a huge fan of the changes...

I still think the 3's are out of whack, but as I play more with these settings, I make more 3's...so maybe I just needed to adjust?

You also seem to get rewarded for playing smarter basketball...and making a couple of passes. This could just be me seeing things, but it just feels better and more realistic...like I have more control.

Especially on the left stick....starting to realize the more "touch" I use on that, the better results I get.

I have to say, the games I've been playing are the most fun I've had playing this game...probably ever.

Especially in MyTeam...now they just need let us play games against friends with our MyTeam.

I've played a few games today and these Jamal Crawford and Melo spammers are no longer in existence. The more I play it does seem alot more realistic. It makes you play actual basketball and this is gonna eliminate alot of cheesing. It's not that bad once you get used to it.

This game is now a joke online. I normally use the Celtics since I am a C's fan and they are a fair matchup against the 90% of people that use the Heat, Thunder, Clippers, Grizzlies, Nets, or Knicks.

Anyway, I have never been a person to abuse the 3PT shot but now it is virtually impossible for me to hit a contested three. As if Pierce or Terry have never hit a three that was contested. Not to mention that I can't buy an open three with anyone on the team. Mid-range jumpers seem basically unchanged though, which is fine since the Celtics are primarily a mid-range jump shot shooting team.

Anyway, sometimes when I really like to clown on kids, I use the Thunder. I am probably shooting 10% from three with Kevin Durant in three games since this "update."

It needs to change. Fast. Because now you are unable to drive, draw the defense, and dish out. You are unable to play realistic basketball since the three point shot has all but been eliminated.

I completely agree....

Still some cheesing going on with mega-dunkers like LeBron, but what I am playing now feels alot more like basketball.

You have to drive and kick, post up, shoot the midrange J's, get to the FT line, etc....it isn't just a 3-point chucking contest.

And my shooting seems to be getting a little better, so maybe it just takes adjusting...???

Played my first online game of 2k in about 2 weeks against my cousin, and I shot like 2 for 9 3pts with Kevin Love. Rubio was feeding him the ball with the Dimer skill and Love was wide open half the time. The shot was like a C+... I hit the game winner three with him though somehow.

Shved was wide open for a 3, perfect release, and he airballed. I don't understand why this change was made, because we couldn't hit a three to save our lives.

I won't be playing online till this change is reverted. I tested with sliders offline and it seems they've dropped the three point shooting from 47 down to 40!!! Way too much of a decrease!


A wide open shot with an 83 rated 3 point shooter shouldn't be C+ quality?! Lillard never gets higher than a C+ because he doesn't have any hotspots.

Fix this trash please!

i agree, i love it....only thing is the zone will be hard to tear apart

since nothing but paint abusers now i play a 1-4 zone and leave all 3's open since i have a better chance playing percentage then watching my players get dunk on left and right cause dunks are unblockable. Good job 2k you sure know sim ball * roll eyes*

They didnt have to lower the three all they had to do was make the shot contest more effective and lower the percentage of three shot off the dribble.

I wish they will add some kind of paint defense too.

This. A wide open pro that is a good 3 point shooter will normally knock down a wide open shot.

Paint wars every single game arent realistic. Missing open 3s or long Js almost 80% of the time isn't realistic. Punishing people from the 3 for leaving you wide open is realistic. The same cheeses that were there before(spin dunk, eurostep) are still there, more than ever actually.
